Congrats to the Panthers on their 2nd round win. Tigers were able to move the ball some and find the endzone. Tall task this season but glad of how hard they fought!

It was 35-0 with 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and I don’t think Paintsville made it over midfield yet. Pikeville’s head coach has always substituted early and often and did as soon as the running clock began. Paintsville scratched out one drive against the JV before Pikeville ran back a kickoff with mostly JV players in. The second Paintsville score was against mostly freshmen.

I think 1A still goes through Pikeville this year but a few teams can upset them if they don’t come to play. 

Hats off to Paintsville for playing hard and not quitting.
