Clay County at Lawrence County. Thoughts?

Be a nice win for Clay County on the road if it were to happen.

I don’t know if clay is still injured, or better yet the injury report for both teams. I would expect from what i’ve seen as of late Clay is just a step behind. The last two weeks especially, injuries were killers and they cannot stop anything. I hope sizemore can eventually get that first playoff win so all the hype around how great he is can have some backing. I doubt it happens but cheering for the tigers this week.

This may be one of the better first round games.

It may be for a half….but LC SHOULD win this game….by at least a couple of scores.

From what I've seen clay is no slouch!! Lost to rock 0-14 but list to Bell county big!!
The Dawgs better take this one serious and play 100% to their ability or it's gonna be a fast exit!!
I'm going
Dawgs 42
Clay 28

Outscored 79-6 in the last two weeks. Maybe different outcome and they keep it closer last week if not for injuries. But Clay cannot score the football against teams with pulses. 28 Points would SHOCK ME. If Clay keeps it close, it’s cause the defense makes plays and it’s low scoring.

I just don't know much about them tbh.
If lc can pull out a couple big wins this post season it would be a real motivator, for what this team could become for the few years to come!!

Long bus ride back to Manchester

Clay Co. the usual end of the season stuff. No defense . Guy could blow up onion sack.

I never say never anymore. I have seen some unusual games this season that I thought were
going one way and ended up just the opposite. Kids get up over a game, get over injuries, get
a toughness about them all of a sudden, and decide to go for it and win a game. I am going
with Clay, I just think they have it in them to win this one!

LC by 21+. As with Clay every year for the last 7-8 years…zero defense and this year they can’t score against anyone with a pulse as someone said earlier. Clay continues to struggle to try to rebuild the program. As I’ve asked for the last several years, who runs the defense?

I've asked the same question Ned, who coaches the defense ? No one ever answers the question.

If LC plays fast and physical on defense like they did last week, I think they'll be fine. They've found a little bit of a groove on offense, and they've absolutely torched bad defenses all year. I'm going with the Dawgs by a couple scores.

With everyone confused on who runs it, maybe nobody does…

I’ve expressed my opinion on sizemore multiple times, but i have to give credit where it’s due. People care now, that’s something. They beat knox on the road, which is huge for them. But i think a 28 point loss in this one erases that win. If they keep it close, they can work off it. But another playoff blowout following 2 disasters to end the season might rip the enthusiasm away.
