Pretty wild video circulating of the then Lynn Camp HC cussing out his team. Since the video came out it's gotten a lot of attention around the state, and even some national attention as well. The video was from last season, but he stepped down as head coach after the video was made public. I'm not going to post it but will post a link on here for those who haven't seen it or want to see it again. 

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

the only thing i didnt care for was using gd but i guarantee those kids use as bad or worse language than he does. in our society today as bad as i hate to say it that language is the norm.

The language is one thing, but being that stupid to think you can talk like that and it not catch up with you, is another. Totally unacceptable from an adult to a bunch of kids, or else he wouldn't have had to resign. You can be a good coach and not turn the locker room into a rated R movie. I think he went a dab too heavy on the cuss words you can make a point with less in my opinion. but, there is very few locker rooms that don't sound similar often. his only mistakes was not having a cell phone policy on gameday like most teams do.

Wholeheartedly agree for the most part. There are a lot of people who say this is normal talk. I refuse to believe that, I played up thru College and yes coaches cuss. But that level and amount of language is straight bullying. I hate that LC(Pennington--who is a complete POS but thats another post altogether) asked for his resignation. Coach Wagner has done a great job getting the community involved and local businesses involved with that program, I really wish he had been reprimanded not asked to resign. Rumors are flying that this video(from last year) was released in retaliation for Coach Wagner "allegedly" getting another LC coach fired. Sucks for the kids that they had a adult to treat them like that but also sucks that the kids lost a coach who genuinely was doing a pretty good job.

So you're saying what he did was ok, as long as you don't get caught?

I have coached and played and I get it. I have heard coaches use this language but no to the extreme he did. It was almost every other word and I am sure the message was not getting through to them in between the explicits. I know people say we are soft and all that but I promise you can get across to them without the language. One of the best coaches I have played for would get in our grill but I can hardly remember him cussing us. Played on region championship teams and contenders so yes it is possible to get your message across without the language he used.

I should've put on here that for this who are easily offended by this type of language, or are in a working environment, watch at your own discretion, if you are at work make sure to keep the volume low.

On a professional level, this is a school event. This would not be tolerated for one minute in the classroom. It should not be here either. It's not okay for a teacher. It's not okay for a coach.

On a moral level, the current "semantic shift" in society spawned by social media doesn't make it okay. 2 Timothy 2:16

On a subjective personal level. This teaches our young men that when were facing stressful situations it's okay lash out. For example, a few years down the road one of these young men has a minor disagreement with their wife and begins to verbally abuse her. It's been my experience that when people start with the profanity it's because they're losing the debate and have nothing of substance to say. I'm guessing this coach didn't have anything of substance to say....

That's a great question. I know Kentucky is a 1 party state when it comes to consent in audio/video recordings, now it being in a locker room like this was? That may be an entirely different issue that I know nothing about.

Don't know about the individual but the video(from last year) was released 1 hour after another coach was fired allegedly as a result of a dispute with this coach. Crazy world.

So you're saying what he did was ok, as long as you don't get caught?

No, I am saying he cussed more than I like and it happens in a lot of locker rooms every game nationwide and cell phone policy's in locker rooms are a good thing. it helps kids from getting posted on snapchat etc. that could ruin their life's, happens almost daily nationwide. this video could have been sent to the AD and handled internally in my opinion but Lynn Camp in modern times is a athletics cesspool of people that have been ran off from neighboring schools for drama so this is not a surprise to me that this video was posted as a political retaliation of another coach being fired probably for something way worse than cussing.

I don’t support this kind of behavior out of a coach but sometimes I suppose the coach has had enough of a teams foolishness/sorriness and may have an explosion on the team. I never heard him single out a kid or say go eat another cheese burger. I suppose it’s ok for our 18 year old so called adults to go over to Ukraine and get shot at as long as there is no cussing right? Don’t think so. Idk what to think sometimes. But like some of you said, if a teacher done that in a classroom, they better be ready to go to the unemployment office the next day. Bad situation but I think the person videoing should receive some sort of punishment as well.

That’s why in any smart persons locker room you have a cell phone drop box so things like this don’t get recorded. Cell phones and social media are the devil!

I totally get the privacy (cell phone) issue, but this was obviously repeated behavior. There was a reason they decided to record in the first place. I mean, why not talk that way while you're out on the bench so everyone can hear?

That is not a bad point, if the footage was old then I definitely dont agree with "holding on" to it until another day

That tells me a couple things for sure...
First, in the year of our lord 2024 people are still incapable of using technology.
Second, someone else filmed it first and then it was shown to the person who sounded the alarm.


As far as speculation.
There could have been a lot of time before the second video was recorded.
Maybe someone held onto it until the time was right to let it fly.
