Letcher County Central at Belfry 11/01

Letcher County Central vs Belfry. Thoughts?
#2
Belfry

Belfry will win but Letcher might get a score or two. Maybe running clock late.

This game is an interesting one. Belfry is a little banged up….especially on the defensive side. The Pirates are coming off a very in-Belfry like effort at Powell Co. Whether it was the drive, injuries or something else….Belfry played a very unenthusiastic and unfocused game. Guessing that will change Friday. If not….Belfry could get stung

I agree. Letcher has been playing well the last few games. Belfry should take this game seriously...

This will be a heck of a game.

I look forward to going back and watching this game on replay.

Should be a dandy.

If letcher’s QB plays like he has the past 3 games Letcher could make this interesting but I think Belfry will be to much for the cougars.

Belfry 42
Letcher 14

someone with more knowledge than me help me out
belfry is a hair behind central in rpi...... central plays a 4 win 2A team on friday while belfry plays 5 win 4A letcher..... can belfry jump them if they both win??? it would ensure there is no scenario where belfry has to go to central

ultimately doesnt matter if belfry sleep walks like last friday they will get beat!

RPI is very flawed

A couple years ago, Trinity had about the same RPI as Williamsburg. It's a laughable system, which means it is here to stay.

i appreciate your criticisms but my question remains can belfry jump central if they both win friday night lol

I’d say that will be razor thin but possible. Lots of math. Belfry will get a bump from playing up a class and playing a better team. The rest of the equation is based on each team’s schedule. Super close but I’d like their chances.

Khali, I would have to do a whole lot of RPI math that i don't have time to do, but just looking at the peripherals, I'd say, yes, there's a definite chance Belfry could leap them.

LOTS of math to do but I came to the same conclusion. It will be razor close, but I'd say Belfry has a good chance of jumping them.

Belfry, 28-16

No one has held Belfry below 35 all year and I don't think it happens Friday. 42-14 BHS.

Dang bac LCC couldn't get a win at Raceland or Hazard but you think they might go into Belfry and win? They will be chasing Belfry RBs all night and the Belfry QB will throw on them all night as well.

Letcher is a solid team jet. Letcher lost its best player early third for throwing a punch. He most definitely should have been ejected too. Letchers staff cost them the Raceland game. They went for on 4th just before halftime and it cost them as Raceland capitalized on it. There defense was playing good. The game was even at that point until that error.
Hazards staff almost lost them the Letcher game after getting up I believe 9 and getting conservative. Hazard loses by 2 to Breathitt, and that Letcher team thumps them. Perry thumped Breathitt and Letcher thumped Breathitt and Perry. Letcher is playing pretty good ball right now. They may make noise in 3A next season. I’m not sure what they lose but it seems like 2A and 3A had a lot of changes to them.

LCC isn’t beating Belfry this week. Cmon
