Who will give belfry a run in the east??
10-07-2024, 01:45 PM
Guessing Bell or Rockcastle would be the prohibitive favorite to come out of the east based upon the RPI. both are setting 1 and 2 in the RPI.

Bell and Rock are obvious. There is others out there that worry me.
Our defense has come miles from the beginning of the year and the offense is, dare I say, unpredictable.
The players just have to continue to work, focus on next game, and get just a little better each day. And block out the noise….

The true "east" is only the first 2 rounds then it's all RPI. Rock or Knox would most likely be the second round opponent and I think Belfry is probably better than either one of those, but you got to show up and play near your best IMO. After that who knows. I think realistically that BHS is a top 3 or 4 team in 3A based on talent and IMO they will have to hit the road and beat a pretty good team or two to get to the finals.

There’s a game in two weeks that honestly will sum up what the state finals should look like. CAL and Central are two pretty darn good teams regardless of where the RPI folds them. The RPI will screw up how it will unwind once again in the east, but i don’t see a a belfry bell game week 3. It might shock some people, but i don’t know if i can honestly put Lex cath out. They have not played a district game, and those are what seed you rounds 1 and 2. They very well can run through that district and be at home those rounds and probably go to bell county week 3. I imagine dudley would want to see east carter or whoever is in that district over lex cath any day.
If Lex cath beats lloyd, which is not crazy, belfry would most likely be at home against east carter round 3. Then round 4 is where it gets weird for everyone.

Doesn't the RPI come in Round 3, but only to reseed the East and West? I thought that you played against your opposite district in rounds 1 and 2, then RPI matched up 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 in the East and West. Then the semifinals reseed again but make no regards to East or West.
