Ironton 48 Pikeville 33
#1
Final. Post it for comments on this one.

They don’t want to comment. They know it was 18 against 11 and still couldn’t pull it out. Sissies!

RAD used to be a decent troll. Now just a whiner. Being an 0-fer has slowly driven him insane.

You couldn't combine Raceland Sayre and Hazard and stay on the field with Ironton for 5 minutes

I would agree if this was the old Ironton. Not so much now. It’s just Ironton.

Pikeville was 100% the better team on the Field tonight. What caused Pikeville to lose the game was the Terrible game plan of Kicking it off SHORT and giving Ironton half the Field at best to score the whole First Half. Also trying to Directional Punt out of bounds. The Special Teams game plan cost Pikeville the Win.

Pikeville looked really good tonight. That is really bad news for the rest of class 1A.

Pikeville had 5 kids who start sitting out tonight and competed with Ironton. If not for Shaun Terry saving them and some continued head scratching coaching mistakes by the Panthers and awful special teams play, Ironton loses that game. Watch the actual football that was played and rest of 1A was put on notice. Panthers trending up at the right time again.

Pikeville took on an Ohio #26 ranked team and showed that they could compete against a team who arguably could beat any team in Kentucky not named Boyle County.

Pikeville was predicted by many on here to lose by 4-5 touchdowns. There were also mentions of a running clock.

The panthers have something, and it's called tenacity with a capital T, and the T is going to get bigger as the season rolls on.

Don’t worry about RAD once they lose he will take his ball and go home then you won’t hear from him again until Raceland wins a couple of games the next year then back on with the greatest show on turf just a blow hard

Just last week you said they was going to put a running clock on Pikeville now since pikeville played a little competitive with them they aren’t very good and if you could watch a game without being so blinded by jealousy you might be able to be like of the Ram posters that have some football knowledge as of matter of fact I believe if Pikeville had be healthy ( as you say 100 percent) they could have won this game and if they would have played up to their capacity they would have won anyway and I will agree with one thing they are not very good Ironton I am talking about well for that matter Pikeville isn’t either right now in my opinion but I believe they can win 1A again if they play the way they can and in some games they play well but not a whole game

lol even Pikeville posters…JP and the like had this pegged as a big loss. Now they play close and everyone else was wrong? lol Pikeville wins even when they lose

I feel sorry for the rest of Pikeville's opponents this season, they have ran the gauntlet schedule-wise, and now there is some light at the end of that tunnel.

You missed the "and more on the way" part. You need to retake Reading Comprehension 101 as well as read up on Trolling for Dummies...

Pikeville has improved more than I thought. So shoot me. Still need to clean up special teams and get healthy.

If you under sell yourself because you’ve sucked this season then you can claim wins when you lose by 15. Impossible to lose.

I thought they would lose but according to you guys they where the one of the best teams in Ohio and if they are Ohio football is not very good and their d lines and o lines are good but I have seeen better this year in the team’s Pikeville has played including Raceland it’s not that I think Pikeville has not  good football which they have in spurts but not a whole game but for a senior class like they have they haven’t been consistent is my opinion

I’m no Pikeville fan but honestly has a single A school in KY ever played a schedule this tough?

They’ve lost a bunch of these but they have competed right there against some of the states best in each of those games.

Pikeville is running the regular season gauntlet without regard to rpi so they can show up in the playoffs and crush teams dreams on their home fields. I hope we get to see a Pikeville vs Campbellsville matchup as a semi or state championship game.

Yes …. A little team back in the 90’s named Beechwood played this type of schedule every year. They actually went over and beat Cinn Moeller when they were on a two year winning streak.

Beechwood didn't ever come near this schedule. Not in the same universe. They would play Cov Cath and sometimes one more good team and New Cath was good then...

To be clear, never in Beechwood's history did their first 7 games come close to touching

Corbin
Johnson Central
LCA
Raceland
Belfry
GRC
Ironton

And I mean not in the same universe, ever.

The truth is somewhere in between jetpilot and RamDad on those old Beechwood schedules. Beechwood played some pretty hefty schedules that were way more than CovCath, NewCath, and another good team. They also certainly never took on anyone in the vicinity of a Moeller type program. Probably would say the toughest opening stretch that Beechwood ever faced was in '94: Warren Central, Hazard, Cov Cath, Cincinnati Taylor, Scott County, and New Cath. That's pretty similar to the gauntlet that Pikeville has gone up against, but probably not quite as deep.
