Pikeville VS GRC SATUDAY 9/28
#1
I saw on social media Pikeville is looking for a team interesting in traveling to Pikeville on Saturday.
#2
Franklin Co's game with Shelby Co was cancelled. Maybe they would be interested.
#3
Cooper and Highlands available possibly.
#4
Wonder if Pikeville will travel?
#5
Why is the Harlan Co game canceled and not just moved to tomorrow like other teams have done?

The field in Harlan Co is being used by other teams on Saturday is my understanding.
#7
Have the game rescheduled in Pikeville for tomorrow.
#8
Come on, Redhounds. Reciprocate Pikeville's trip to Campbell Field. Go to Pikeville!!!! You can play back-to back days.

I dont think it was the field conditons.  Harlan County took a big hit with flooding today.  Cant blame them when Mother Nature comes calling!

It's pitiful, I've never seen such a soft society that cancels football games over rain and wind. Radar shows the rain has moved out of SE Ky with the forecast being 66 degrees and mostly sunny with 0% precipitation by 6:00pm. I understand the threat of flash flooding is a greater danger in the mountain regions and the drive from Pikeville, so I digress.

Letting schools out early for this is a joke too. Many teachers and administration got lazy during Covid "working" from home. You can thank King Andy and all those that chose to shut down our country for this mind frame. Add all the liberal news stations constantly reporting on "EXTREME" weather and we have a new standard. If it was that bad, or folks that worried - probably shouldn't have put the kiddos on the bus in the morning either.

FWIW, it's not about missed games or classes, but how this is a microcosm of what we've become as a nation.

If there is serious damage, they get a pass.

If they are still playing games tomorrow, and not playing the HS game because the field is booked then shame on them, their coach, and their administration.

Joke.

Exactly. Hopefully all is well in Harlan Co. Teams all around them seem to be playing tonight, at least for now.

I didn't mean field conditions, but rather weather conditions. If they are flooding though I get it. Hopefully everyone is ok over there.

As of now, a few teams in the far west are set to play right through the middle of this on natural grass.... woo-hoo!

Usually I would agree, but flooding and power outages are a problem.

It is definitely flooding in the area. I was going to an event at Middlesboro that got postponed because of flooding.

Believe this was a district game and has to be a forfeit.
