Harlan County vs Pikeville. Thoughts?

I think Pikeville may be going to Harlan County but still Pikeville should roll. They are getting better. Special teams and too many injuries to overcome 2nd half against Belfry but they outplayed Belfry for the majority of the game. They got away from their playmakers. They really need to look at the LCA film and mix it up like that. No one beats them in 1A if they bring the intensity like they did against Belfry and the offense plays like they did at LCA. They’ll need to get past Ironton without key players hurt and then we will see what they’re made of.

I was up early hours before daylight and rushing to drink my coffee and put the games on after I got free to do so lol.   Im good for some mistakes all the time, thanks for pointing that out and we will fix it eventually. Bac I hate to be the one to break it to you but I believe Belfry’s 0 line is better than Harlan’s and I am taking Pikeville in this one and they showed in the first half some improvement and hopefully they can get 4 quarters worth this weekend

Pikeville should use this game to figure out their offensive issues. I’d like to see them work the middle of the field with a short/intermediate passing game. If Duty can’t do it then give the backup a shot.

I like Harlan County’s new approach  playing 3 yards and  a cloud of dust football. The way they should’ve been playing all along. It worked well against Middlesboro week 1 but Middlesboro isn’t Pikeville. 

Harlan County doesn’t have the horses to hang with Pikeville. It’s a name your score type of game for the Panthers

With as big as Harlan County is and the facilities they have, with the right people in place I would think they could field a pretty competitive team. I know this year is not looking great for them but I would love to see them match their basketball team's success. They have one of the nicest campus's you will see. But with them being young maybe over the next couple years things will start falling into place for them. Good luck to both teams and hopefully both come out injury free in what looks like it will be a terrible night for football because of weather.

If Harlan county developed any kind of passing game they’d be a solid team. They’ve got a big line who gets a good push for the running back. They’ve got two good running backs also and play physical and to the whistle. I think the future looks good for them.
