Valley has got it going on,I look to see Valley doing really well this year, they were people on here thinkin that phelps would kill them, well there wrong and I no u all think 79 -6 is awful but shelby valley didnt have no choice, they played ever player on the team.Valley is small this year but has IMPROVED ALOT. congrats to coach saunder and valley and good luck to phelps

i agree that is very disresprctful running the score up and leaving starters in but on the other hand SV does desreve a Congrats, looks like they have improved alot compared to last year

When you only dress 24 players, it is difficult to play your third or fourth string. I was disappointed in SV's decision to throw late in the game, but it was a freshman throwing to a freshman. As for the two late 2-pt conversions, the coaches were shouting "kick" to the players, but they did not hear the communication...so they did what they had been taught to do and scored two on the "swinging" gate. The other conversion was simply a quarterback sneak that went 3 yards for the score...did I mention the freshman QB went into the endzone untouched on the play. SV looked impressive against Phelps, but after watching Belfry...we still have miles to go to reach their level of play. Congrats, and good luck to all teams this season!

There is no need to run the score up that high. There are ways to avoid something like that. Take the Pikeville Jenkins game last year for example. They kicked field goals on first down instead of ramming it down their throats and scoring. Also, what is up with the kansas state look? if they still have the black jerseys those helmets dont really match. I think they should have stuck with sv on the helmet.

Coach Saunders was just making a point to all of his other oppenents. You cant help but feel sorry for Phelps tho.

Classless is what it is but by responding or posting to this subject is just doing what the JERK wants...PUBLICITY.....big deal he whooped up on a 1A school wonder how he"ll feel when he gets a big dose when the big dogs in Pike Co take a bite outta his ass...he"s got one coming to him from across the line as well...
I hope Phelps will let this go and not get down on therselves..bunch of good kids and helluva nice coach and a great community....

lord ur an idiot lol every single player on the team played what do u want him to do the onl time a freshamn gets to play in a game or a not o good player gats on the feild just tell them to fall to the ground every play its not like that they like to get bragged on too and get some credits and the only reason the starters were oin the game at the end is because have u seen the team thers not enought players too make a second team that y we dont have a jv team or a freshman team. i do feel srry for phelps and i wish them good luck in the season but were not just going to drop down to another teams level just because were beating them too bad there is no mercey rule in football:igiveup:

1.Way to go Valley on the big win. I say big win cause most people were thinking you'd get stomped. Or I belive the comment was get the stinger out of our butt? Yep I think we done that.
2.The new kansas state look is great. Coach Synder would be proud.
3.Cant wait to the turf gets laid should be wonderful.
4. The most important one. Some may say that Valley was runnign up the score. Maybe they was, maybe they was just trying to prove a point. Point being that Phelps aint gonna beat us. For those of you who dont know Valley is under the reigns of new Coach Kevin Saunders(big props) and very down in numbers this year. Whether it be to graduation, kids cant take the heat, or many other things, I think they have 25 players with mostly up to in the high teens in freshman. But anyways, alot of people say it was classless for a team to score 79 points on another team. When theres no way to help it. I hear run the ball.
They threw one pass in the 4th quater. And it was with a freshman qb. And even with a running clock after halftime The CLOCK DOSE NOT STOP!!!!!!!!! so dose it really matter if they woulda run they did run and still scored. Two touchdowns in the 4th came off a fumble recovery and a interception. Do you expect these kids to take a dive in what could be there greatest moment ever who knows if these kids will ever score agian. They could die on the way home god willing they dont, but they were happy to know hey i scored last night or maybe its there shot to go around school for a week aying hey i hit pay dirt. Its very classless to get on here and discuss how "classless" it is for a team to score 79 points. And i hear alot of people saying Belfry wouldn't do this, pikeville wouldn''t have done that, p-burg hit me with a wiffle ball ball horse hocky. And if then Belfry can score 100000 points on Valley then so be it. What in the world would Valley have to do scoring 79 points on Phelps. Then we got peopel on here praying for kids to get beat that bad after they just called a man classless for do it. Wouldnt it be like callin the kettle black? Yes sir it would (or mam for all u women). But Saunders did play every kid. Put in your jv? they have no Jv they have cancelled the rest of there jv games. But i just wanan add something else woudklnt this make u all classles to.........

there are ways to keep the score down and still play hard...fullback fullback fullback.... a game like this is when you move people around to positions they do not usually play let someone run the ball who doesn't usually get to...you work on stuff for later in the season...new plays...sets and schemes to use later in the season...you don't keep using your bread and butter when it gets like this.....classless..point blank...sorry to offend everyone but valley still has to playe belfry and sc so we all know what will happen.lol

Well there is ways to get around running up the score, but Valley dont have as many players as most teams. They played every player, all the freshman they have played the 3rd and 4th. And u all know just as well as i know that if Belfry, P-Burg, or P-Ville would have played Valley in that game and beat them 79 to 6 they wouldn't say they was classless. Valley just came out and played with there hearts like Phelps should have done. I seen where someone put they should have fell down when Phelps broke loose. Well that not how football is played. Once again I want to stay CONGRATULATIONS to Valley and DO NOT listen to all these people saying you guys are "classless" because you are not! Hats off to Coach Saunders for starting to turn this program around. I hope they continue to win and to improve as the year goes on! Good luck the rest of the season!

Classless, shit take a knee or run the ball with your fattest player to prevent all the scoring. 40 something to 6 would've been fine, but when you get up to 60 thats going just a little too far.

Well the way i see it. When u wanna be a good team u dont lay down for no one no matter what and in the 3rd and 4th Valley had all the freshman on the team on the field and phelps still couldn't stop them. But i do agree they should have went for the kick not 2 pts and thats the only thing i agree on.
