Boyle 56 Scott County 26
#1
Final.

I thought Boyle played really flat in the first half and penalties are killing them, I also thought it was classless for Scott County to keep their starters in until around 2-3 minute's left in the game against Boyle’s JV and Freshman.

What you said, sounds about right with Scott Co HC.

Got to give Scott County credit for coming out with a keep away plan to keep the Boyle offense off the field in the first half. But Boyle is just too strong on both sides of the ball to keep them down long. Really, they might have put up 70s as a score if Scott County didn't come out strong in the first half. Boyle is just that good.

Bad look for Scott.

McKee needs to go…great coaching career, but he’s lost touch with players, his arrogance is at an all-time high. I have a good feeling if he doesn’t leave soon his middle school talent is going to head to Great Crossing.

I was a little surprised it was so close almost to halftime. It must have also been tough to get the Boyle players re-focused after last week. Looks like Haddix did a decent job of it.

More like stall ball, keep Boyle offense off the field, they score less points.

If you are up 30 or 37 with a couple minutes to go and your starters are in...not classy . If you are down 30 or 37... meh. Either way, you're losers.

It was running clock in the 3rd. Haddix took his starters out and put JV in. Scott County left there's in the whole game.

Scott county scored 7 points on Boyle JV. Scott county is a good team who’s struggled to open the gate, to leave starters in until the last drive really isn’t a big deal. They need more reps going into the important games. Boyle starters had issues all night stopping the Scott Co. offense so obviously JV guys would have no chance, however McKee would much rather go into next week with the guys having more reps than less. Especially since turnovers on offense have lead to each loss they have .

Boyle going into this was known to probably not be able to stop the run that Scott Co. has. I knew Scott county would be able to score on Boyle, but also knew Boyle wouldn’t have a drive where they wouldn’t score. #5 and #18 are insane players who even on the four 4th downs Scott co. Got them in you just know will make a play

Well Scott County’s starters only scored 7 points on Boyle’s JV , so the JV played them pretty well.

Scott county V only ran one drive on the JV. The Scott Co. JV ran one drive on Boyle JV that stalled at the 2 yard line when time expired.

I don't hate Scott County myself. Thought they would have a very good team this year and really thought they were getting better. But I'll say it as nice as I can, Boyle played the biggest game of their season last week against ST. Edwards and I think IN MY OPINION that Boyle probably needed a quarter to get back to playing football after getting Nationally ranked in the Top 25 and dang near the top 10. So you could call it a hangover sorta but I will give the ole belly a little credit on hiding the football, I hate that offense personally. Thats just me. Not that Scott County does it but no matter who runs it, Im not a fan of that kind of a offense. I am a Madden Junky, I like Hail Mary's..  Smile

I’d agree there was a bit of a trap game element for Boyle, but they didnt play well against Scott Co. Wing T last year and even though Scott. Co. Wasn’t able to get points they had big chunk plays. I won’t say I expected Scott county to run it down their throat for 250 yards (if you subtract the Varsity vs JV drive), but there was definitely some issues with Boyles defense against the Wing T that I knew going into the game. I actually think this game would have been close to the finish if Scott Co. didn’t have the fateful 4 minutes. I think there was also an element of Boyle getting knocked in the mouth one too many times and instead of letting it drag them down, it actually made them better. They’re easily the best team in the state.
