You're a funny dude. I have rooted for Raceland, just not for people who can't look at things objectively. Fairview recruited, and so has Raceland. You all picked at Fairview, much less people got defensive than when the same has been pointed out on your side. You had been doing great at that, but because I called out a couple of your Raceland buddies for running down a Lewis County poster, now you're up in arms.

By the way, Raceland is my pick to win 1A this year and the next two years after that and I hope they do it because it makes football in the area I am from better and is good for the entire community.

Stick to analyzing the game, not other posters.

I think Raceland has the program to get it done with that sophomore class. They are a good group and as Raceland posters (when they stick to analyzing the game) have said, are a group that has more overall burners than what they've had in the past. Considering what Ashland has done since Week 1, it's fair to believe that they can get it done.

What about Corbin Johnson Central and LCA? Pikeville will beat Raceland at Pikeville or Kroger by 21 this year and next and next

But the fact that they’re finally winning and seeing the stands full once again is a testament to the excitement being back around the program. Prestonsburg made a change when it needed it most and brought in a group of coaches that know how to win. I don’t know what else you can ask for. It takes time to build a program and as decimated as Prestonsburg has been the past half decade, being 4-0 is something worth celebrating. Chill out. If you don’t like it, go watch Pikeville and their host of transferred stars and stop worrying about Prestonsburg.
Prestonsburg started 4-1 last year, 6-0 in 2022 and 4-1 during 2021. What they’re doing right now IS NOT NEW.

We will know nothing about this program until the week after next.

I will be willing to eat crow if Pburg keeps up the winning as the schedule increases in difficulty but I watched Brewer and company piss away great starts for 2 of the last 3 season.

Dang u should be happy with all the crap u was talking about before the season talked. You said they would be lucky to win what 2 games maybe 3. IMO prestonsbur has already overachieved. With a few of their best players leaving. Prestonsbur will probably finish 2nd in the district and be at least a 7 game winner this year.

I hope Wes Hager has all the success except against Martin Co and MC boys are still gonna hug his neck win or lose. I hope all yall have to eat crow.

I still think Wes was a bad hire and his staff is classless. They put hands on a player from another team and cussed a coach in the press box from a different team this year already.

I’m happy for the kids though, they deserve to start well.

Keep fabricating scenarios up in ur head my dude to try and make urself feel better about the hire. What didn't they hire ur daddy ur brother and ur best friend to the staff and now ur butt hurt.

If they put hands on a student athlete they would be in some trouble. And for cussing a coach in the press box maybe that coach needed cussed out. Maybe he was taking up for their team. Coaches need to have a level of passion for the game and their team to elevate everyone around them. The players see it and feel it. They love this coaching staff.

The Prestonsburg threads get so weird. So much negativity. Don’t pump the breaks. Keep rolling. Pump the kids up. Build the excitement. The program was on life support. People are excited again. Football in the mountains is better when Prestonsburg is good. Great place to play when the town is excited. It is hostile and right in the town. Feels like everyone is there. No one thinks their contending for a state title but it feels like their heading in the right direction.

I have never been, nor will I ever be a Prestonsburg fan, but I will say it's always fun to see them having success, and for all Pburg fans sake, can sustain it. Like someone said already, they have gotten off to solid starts the last few years, only to fall apart when it matters most. True test will definitely be Betsy Layne next week.

I'm sure they'd love to go into that game undefeated, gotta take care of business against Pike Central who will be no push over. In regards to the schedule? You play who's in front of you, and that's what they've done up to this point. Huge difference in coaching, this staff has brought a renewed energy, players have bought in.  Hager done great getting guys who played there, had great careers, that know the tradition of the program, and want to bring the tradition & success back.  Got some tough matchups on the backend, starting with Pike Cent, BL, and Martin Co. It'll be interesting to see what Pburg will be made of a month from now.

Ranked #130 overall in KY

Average team they have beaten ranked #191 out of 224 teams in KY.

Per Calpreps
One thing you can always count on is Jet high jacking threads to beat down the success of local schools. Everyone knows that Prestonsburg isn't a contender on the state level, but what's wrong with being excited for this season and for the future? This program isn't going to be built in a day, or a season, but it's headed in the right direction. As a fan, alumni, and a former player, that is all you can ask for out of Hager and his staff. With the transfers and early season injuries, I would have put this team at 2-2, and the fact they are 4-0 speaks volumes of Hager and this team.

As far as people like Jet, they hate seeing local schools having success, because kids may think twice about wanting to transfer to Pikeville. Pikeville has made a living from the transfer portal, and where do these kids generally come from, programs who are struggling, or programs who have never had any tradition. Regardless of rankings, I'm thrilled to see the trajectory of the program, and I'm thrilled to see the excitement back in our town and program. Hail Blackcats!
