Prestonsburg 55 Lewis County 12
#1
Final.
#2
Prestonsburg’s Kain Patton returned the opening kickoff for 6 and the Blackcats never really looked back. Led 42-6 at the half.

It was nice to see Prestonsburg spread the field and throw the ball around. They showed another element of what they’re capable of that defenses will have to respect going forward. If the passing game can build off tonight and Holbrook continues to get comfortable and confident along with the offensive line then look out.

Prayers going out for Lewis County’s do-it-all player McGlone. Looked to have a serious leg injury. I hope he’ll be alright and is back asap for the Lions.

Congrats Blackcats!

If the black cats keep it rolling and can pick up another win next week. They are going to have all the momentum coming into district play.

I thought they lost some key players this season to other schools. Seems like the coaching has gotten better. Who would have thought. They can go 4-0 in the district. And u all had some predicting hardly any wins..

I’m happy for PBurg but like Jet said, pump the brakes. All anyone can ask is they win the games that are scheduled and that a good thing, but they are not a contender, this year.

50 points away from being in the hunt.

Winning breeds excitement. Are they suddenly playing a dramatically different schedule than when BREWER was there?

They were pretty much predicted to only win 3 at most by a lot of people on here. I think it’s great that they have started the season 4-0. They’re building confidence. They’re filling their bleachers again. A lot of excitement in the Pburg community right now. It’s a start.

They have played the same 4 teams to start the 2024 season as they did last year. They started out 3-1 in 2023.

Careful Jet. You get on these threads and say anything but good about teams (that includes picking against them or saying they aren’t a title contender) and people get bent out of shape. Pikeville and Raceland fans are nothing but a bunch of bullies hahahahaha
#16
I think Jet should worry more about Pikeville. I’ve never seen someone not from Prestonsburg so obsessed with them. People who haven’t been around this program directly have no idea the hardships it’s faced over the past 5-7 years. Poor administration, bad decisions, and poor coaching performances set this entire program back a decade or more. I don’t think anyone anywhere is saying Prestonsburg is a state title contender. But the fact that they’re finally winning and seeing the stands full once again is a testament to the excitement being back around the program. Prestonsburg made a change when it needed it most and brought in a group of coaches that know how to win. I don’t know what else you can ask for. It takes time to build a program and as decimated as Prestonsburg has been the past half decade, being 4-0 is something worth celebrating. Chill out. If you don’t like it, go watch Pikeville and their host of transferred stars and stop worrying about Prestonsburg.

Cool. Who gives a ?? Just like I said: everyone knows we aren’t a state title contender. But we are winning. And winning with kids we’ve brought up in our own system. I’ll take that all day long.

You’re on here really talking about a middle school game? I hope they wait until you show up at the stadium and then forfeit.

Geez Jet, things must be bad down 23 for you to have to come into Prestonsburg threads repeatedly to be negative for no reason.

Prestonsburg starting to live in Jets mind rent free.

Please

Always rooted for Prestonsburg but this new regime is off to an awful start in the class department.
And the schedule is one of the weakest in 500 miles in any direction.

Things are fine here

And Prestonsburg will absolutely forfeit the Jr High game

This coaching staff inherited this schedule. You should know that as much as you talk football, but you choose to troll and hijack threads and have now resorted to finding affirmation in hypotheticals matchups.

C'mon Jet, you're better than this.

Everyone at Prestonsburg knows Pikeville is well ahead of Prestonsburg from the top to the bottom in regards to football. The way Pikeville does football should be modeled by anyone that wants to have a successful football program. Like BCF4L said, our program has been set back many years and we've went through A LOT of difficult seasons. That's not easy, but it is refreshing to see what's happening currently from top to bottom. It's a start and I'm grateful that Prestonsburg football is trending back in the right direction from top to bottom.
