You mean highest yards per game average as of now. That's not necessarily the same thing as the best.

Nope, they are the best.

What is your criteria, then?

I know the teams they have played are a combined 1 win and 7 losses. Seems like it's easy to rack up big yards when you are playing terrible opponents.

It's Western Hills. You have to blow up the image to see that. Their graphics team didn't do a good job with that.

My criteria is most rushing yards per game in the state, it’s simple math. Hills is the best and owns the town of Frankfort.

So in my first reply in this thread I asked you if you really meant most rushing yards per game. Your answer was "NOPE".  Then I asked your criteria and you answer with "most rushing yards per game".

What am I missing here?

That Hills is the best, they own Frankfort and Simon has the right length on his ties this year. Burn the ships.

They might lead the state in rushing the first 6 weeks, but i would be impressed if they get over 150 yards of offense against FC, North oldham, and Henry.
#12
...............QB.........com,att,Int,yrds,tds
14 Morgan, Hunter 5 22 2 117 1

Rushing

28 Robinson, Cooper 13 13 0
21 Nantz, Bryson 1 1 0
10 McWhorter, Jude 1 -4 0
14 Morgan, Hunter 1 -6 0

16 rushes for 4 total positive yards.

This is North Laurels previous game and Western Hills is not nearly as good as North imo. Franklin County defense held them to hardly any offense.

Are you suggesting it’s silly to post about being the top rushing team in the state against teams with a combined record of 1-7?

No. I would have used those words if that's what I thought.

I was trying to get justification from you as to why they are the "best" rushing team in the state as your thread title states. The comment about the records of the teams they've played was to give me some context.

And frankly, I'm not really getting anywhere with the justification and I don't care enough to continue to participate in the thread.

Yes, it's more than silly, it's GD silly. Wonder how the BEST rushing team in the state would do against Boyle's defense? Western Hills  would rush for negative 200 yards against a team like Boyle. In fact, WH's players would run away  over the river and through the woods...  to grandmother's they'd go.

FCSPY, I think you're sandbagging.  Hills has nothing for Franklin Co yet.  I do think they are heading in the right direction, and hopefully, they can be competitive with the Flyers in a few years.

Wish I was. They have added quite a few kids to the roster from other places. That are big time threats.

Johnson Central is one of the best rushing teams in the state If not the best. They have always been one of the best rushing teams year in and year out no matter who they ave in the backfield the coaches at JC always find a way to make their teams good because of rushing. Zach McCoart is one of the best backs in the state. He led JC in rushing yards his freshman and sophomore year and missed last year due to injury but is already back and even better. Already through 3 games has 500 yards and 6 touchdowns and all 3 teams they have played are real contenders in their class (Madison Central, Pikeville, Belfry). Belfry could seriously win the 3A if they can get the passing game like how it was against JC last week. Logan Music and Logan Morrow are the other rushers and they are both juniors and have experience. Boyle County Corbin Paducah Franklin and then I believe Central is the 5th best team in 4A right now. All 4 teams ahead of them are top teams in the state regardless of class. Johnson Central is better then they have been in years and I believe this team can be a top 3 team in 4A By postseason.

Its good to see JC back in the hunt! My Flyers and JC had a few wars!

Not sure that’s true. McCourts freshman’s year they had the Preston kid that was a stud. He lead the team in rushing. That year they had 5-6 backs ahead of McCourt. I remember bc they had the deepest backfield in the state. It was impressive.

Just checked KHSAA 2021 Football Season which would have been his freshman year he had 1287 yards and 18 touchdowns to lead the team.

I will give credit to the Betsy Layne Bobcats. Over the last few years, they churn out great running talent.
