Paris at Hazard 9/6

Paris at Hazard. Thoughts?
#2
If scores mean anything, this should be a great telling game.
#3
I will be in attendance for this one. I’ll take Paris in a close one
#4
Scorekeeper may be busy in this one

Hazard 38 Paris 28

This should be a good game. Paris won the game last year 22-6. It seem like after this game last year every they went south for hazard. This should be a dandy of a game. Hazard has already in the first two games of the season won more games than last year. Hazard has owned both O-D lines in the game. We shall see if they can own them in this one. But the down fall in this one is Paris will have plenty of speed. I can’t wait to watch this one.

I'll take the Dawgs in a close one!!

Hazard seems to be finding a little rhythm under coach Chandler. Give me Hazard at home 34-21.

Everyone knows you are down before you get off the bus at Hazard. Seriously though, Hazard is turning it around and faster than I thought they might. Still a year away probably but I like them to knock off Paris in this one at home. If they stay composed and limit mistakes and penalties, I think they can handle Paris up front and control the game. Paris has speed and will score some but I also think they’ll give away some penalties and mistakes. I like Hazard to get it done.

This should be a dandy of a game and a hard one to predict, I’m taking Paris in a toss up

I think Paris probably has the better team right now, but I don't know if that's going to be enough Friday. If Paris somehow wins this game, go ahead and add 16 to the point differential.

Athletically the game isn't close, to win the game Paris needs to be physical and competitive in the trenches. No prediction from me here, but I think it'll be a good one.

This game shows us what Hazard does against the pass. I feel Paris will attack their secondary which hasn't been truly tested yet. Martin scored on a couple busted plays in the secodary and Harlan Co doesn't throw.

I just am not impressed with Paris. Year in and year out they have a ton of talent. They have speed, quickness, and explosiveness. But for me they are a travel ball type of good. They will get some big plays, break one here and there, but they are never consistent and disciplined enough to beat good teams. Give me Hazard by two scores.

The Paris that played Frankfort in week 1, is not the same team that just lit the scoreboard up on Paintsville. Paris adding Alex Koeder is another weapon and true depth at there running back position. The kid is fast and runs hard. He wasn’t elibile to play yet against Frankfort. He is a huge pick up who came from Nicholas County.

Just don’t see Koeder being an impact player. He had 12 Carrie’s for 16 yards last year vs Raceland. Both teams Paris played last year with a pulse…they got blasted. And imo, they had the playmakers to not only play with those two teams, but beat them. They just aren’t coached well, imo.

Yes that’s with a Nicholas County line. I expect him to be much better with a better line. I thought Paris cleaned up there penalties very well from the week before. It also helps getting Senior Kaden Frederick back who never played the whole season. He isn’t the running threat of Gregory, but with time he usually hit his target. Hazard will need to get pressure on him. So far this season hazard has controlled the LOS. Hazard will need to avoid turnovers to win this game. I also think Paris will need to adjust there defense to to stop the Hazard running game. I don’t believe one linebacker in the middle will be able to stop them. They will need to two middle linebackers, and also I think they will have to play there safety closer instead of 17 yards down field.

These are all coaching points. That’s where I think Paris falls short. I’ve seen them play two games online. Same Paris as last few seasons. Lots of talent. Enough to be teams that are less talented. But not enough to outperform teams with equal talented that is coached better. Hazard has looked better both times I’ve watched their film.

I hope to see Hazard win this one but I think it’s gonna take a good effort. They can’t have multiple turnovers and win it. Hazard looked solid defensively again outside the first drive, but still got the shutout. But I agree I think Paris is stepping up a level this week, but I do think Paintsville wasn’t bad offensively in the game. They just had huge turnovers n bad snaps. Paintsville is better than last year in my opinion but they need to get better on the defensive side.

The Paris defense should be up for the challenge. They are missing their best lineman, the defense has done pretty well this season. With Koeder being eligible, it changes the dynamics of the Greyhounds on both sides of the ball. Paris may start of rusty due to the ride, but I see Paris winning by 14-21.

Who has injuries Paris or Hazard?

Sorry, I meant to say lineman/backer for Paris, Donovan Griggs, thought he played really well against Hazard last year. He is more than likely out for the entire season.

Hate to hear any kid having to sit out the season due to injury. They lost some solid lineman last season. Paris have any other injuries?

Anybody have a stream for this game?

They had a freshman linebacker last year that had like 4 defensive touchdowns that I heard someone say was out for the season before the season started.  I'm assuming it's the same kid.

At Paris I’ll take Paris but after last weeks game I don’t think that Paris is strong enough at the moment to leave Hazard with a win.

Hazard 36 Paris 21

Hazard take this one by being more physical and more disciplined, but going to be a great game.

Hazard 35
Paris 27

I have to go with Hazard on this one. I think Coach Chandler will continue to build up that program if the community and school will support him. he has seen what it takes to be competitive at Franklin Co.

Looks like a beautiful night for football.
