Martin county I believe has figured out a identity on defense but they are still finding their way on offense. If they can put it together they should come out the winner of this game. But if they don't improve offensively valley will win

Martin co finally has there defense figured out. They were solid in the Pike Central Game. This team has alot of talent and they are playing good together. They will give SV a run for their money. It being a home game for MC , I think the vibe will be high and MC will get another " W" at the rock

Shelby Valley is too pliable on defense to go to the rock and win. .  

Hopefully they can find some toughness both mentally and physically. If not, I’m not sure they win before district play starts.

Not sure if Davis and watts will be the difference maker this week since it’s there week 1, valley will still have trouble throwing over mc’s big safety

Not sure Davis helps MC much athletically. He is fairly strong though and a good leader. I’m sure he’ll carve out a role. The other kid from WV is very athletic and a difference maker. Not sure he can get up to speed in a week but he will be a factor in this game and definitely as season goes on. Close game but give me MC at home.

Davis and Watts will more than likely not play in this game due to them not knowing the system well enough yet. Davis will help with depth on defense and if you saw him play in middle school, he can absolutely lay a hit on somebody. Watts will step up and be a big time receiver when he learns the offense. Still though, I’ve got my MC boys in this one against Valley.

Both teams have good QBs and both have good athletes around the QBs. Which defense steps up during crunch time will tell the tale with this one. I’m predicting a lot of yards and a lot of points.

Going by the thread comments these are two teams with terrible defenses. I can't speak for Martin co, but Shelby Valley isn't exactly an offensive juggernaut!! SV is greatly lacking in talent at just about every position & on both sides of the ball. Their lack of talent is being lead by one of the worst coaching staffs in the 606. Don't get me wrong Martin County isn't going to contend for a state championship either. However, MC will do what they have to for the win tonight!!
