Boyle County at St. Edwards (Lakewood, OH) 9/7 Saturday Game
#1
Boyle County at St. Edwards Lakewood, OH. Thoughts?
#2
Likely a loss for Boyle. Good of them to schedule it, though. Hope they get out of it with no significant injuries.
#3
If Boyle wins this one cancel the rest of the 4A season and give them the trophy

Division 1, equivalent to our 6 A.  They were ranked 3rd in Ohio yesterday by MaxPreps but after putting a beatdown on St. Joseph (PA), who was ranked 15th nationally, I suspect their ranking will go up.  Seemed like a lot of home cooking too as they had very few penalties and St. Joseph had a ton, especially after big plays.

Regardless, they are very good in all aspects.

There will be several scouts at this game eyeing St. Edwards, as they are one of the nation's perennial powerhouse teams. It'll will be a lopsided score, but hopefully those scouts will look closer at what some Boyle players possess in talent.

No level of beating he might take will make him drive back to Corbin.  :D

Yeah, I guess he could have tried to schedule Hazard.

The life lesson I was thinking about didn't involve the city of Corbin.

Hazard was a horrible idea for the Corbin "brain"trusts. It cost them a state championship last season.

I got Boyle County in an upset of the number #25 team in the Nation. Boyle County looks to me that they may be better than last season. Call it the addition of coaching staff, call it the weight room in the offseason. I know one thing. They are tuff. LCA game and Bryan Station game was like watching two totally different teams on the field. Haddix will pull all the tricks in this one to prove a point. I have to pull for the top team in the Bluegrass State. Go Boyle!

Boyle 35
St. Edwards 31.

Where will this game be at? Will it be as bad as what happened to Douglass last year?
#21
I hope Boyle absolutely abuses this bunch. Probably won't happen but I'd say 50 Hail Marys if it would help.

St Ed's is going to do whatever they want, whenever they want to Boyle County. Game won't be close.

Final Score 49 -14.

St Ed's gonna clear the bench and pull a few kids out of the student section and let them play in the 4th Qtr.

As someone who was born and raised in Cleveland, I am going to really enjoy watching Boyle County get its butt kicked.

Worse. Much worse.

St Edwards picks their players from all of Ohio and even past Ohio’s borders. They wrote the book on recruiting. I could understand a game between Avon, Ohio, (who hardly recruits) and Boyle being played. That would be a good game.

Again, if you are aware of any private school recruiting athletes to their program, I would certainly hope you would place a call the the OHSAA. I am sure they would want to know about of all this cheating that is taking place.

If you do not make that call, seems that making such a statement would be "blowing smoke" and you are only parroting back a sentiment held by every public school parent since the beginning of time.  JMO

It's been that way in Ohio since at least the 1970's, if that's what you mean by "again."
St. Ignatius, another Cleveland school, recruits. Glenville, another Cleveland school, recruits, but tries to limit their recruits to Cleveland city students. It's no secret and has been the accepted way for 50 years, so it doesn't matter how many calls to the OHSAA you make. You'd be hard pressed to find more than 10 students playing for St Edwards that actually live in the Cleveland city limits.

I need to correct my earlier comment that St Edwards is located in Lakewood, Ohio, one city west of Cleveland. My apologies for the confusion, but the main point remains.

The Catholic Christians will defeat the Protestant Christians and the refs and media will be Christans and 95% of the fans will be Christians and this will trigger you so bad you will throw everything in your house in the dumpster and rub sh!t all over your walls as your eyes are spinning and bubbles are popping over your head.
