Nice try but Raceland is about the 8th most exciting game on the schedule to Pikeville fans.

Congrats to JC. Outplayed, out hustled, out phyical'd the Panthers and ran their offense to near perfection all night.

Outside of their final scoring drive Pikeville looked out of sync on offense all night.  They were making a lot of mistakes that one normally wouldn’t expect from a team that has won 3 consecutive state titles.  Obviously JC had a lot to do with it but there were multiple unforced errors that cost Pikeville on several plays.

JC was a model of execution tonight.  They imposed their will on a manner that you would have seen from JC teams from a few years ago.  I look for them to be right back in the thick of it in 4A this season.  

As for Pikeville, they will be fine in 1A and games like this will just make them better down the stretch when the competition level in 1A isn’t as difficult.

One thing this tells me that after two weeks is Madison Central is much better than most thought going into this season.

The 2nd thing how long has it been since started a season 0-2 and been outscored by 59-22 in those two games.

That may very well be true, but if they play like they did tonight they may be leaving Worthington with a loss. I think they are better than Raceland, but they are not showing it currently.

First time in a while I’ve seen Pikeville just get completely bullied on both sides of the ball. Johnson Central flat wore the Panthers out and made them like it. Congrats JC, you were by far the superior team. I was completely wrong about this game and I’ll admit it. Lots of work to do for the guys in maroon.

I’d say everyone has to take a long look in the mirror after tonight for Pikeville and no, I didn’t take it too far. I wrote the Corbin game off because the Hounds are good and it was the first game of the year. They looked awful tonight, worse than the Corbin game. I don’t want to diminish what JC did because they absolutely dominated Pikeville on both sides of the ball. As a poster above said, I haven’t seen that in a long time. But, there is no way this version wins 1A. No way. That could change but as of now, there are probably 4-5 teams that could beat them.

Lighten up RAD, just a figure of speech. You’re right in that 1A games are more important and bear more significance for 1A teams. Losses to 4A teams will be a distant memory for both teams in two weeks. It should be fun.
