Pikeville dominated them. If not for a ball that should have been intercepted and bounced off a Panther to a Martin receiver, they don’t score. Martin managed very few first downs even with heavy substitutions by Pikeville. Offensively, Pikeville did about what they wanted when they wanted. I wish Martin the best on their season but if this was a regular game it would have likely been a running clock in the first half.

Feel free to update. You are more than welcome to post a score and result. I personally don't live in Corbin and all the guys I talked to don't have kids on the current team. So I am like anyone else, I have to listen for a result or go in person. I didn't go last night to the scrimmage, or I would have. But anyone who is a Corbin fan that watches the actual games can post a score and update. Simple as that.

GRC had a really big line and had a good game plan to disrupt Corbin's strengths, it gave Corbin a good test. my take away is Corbin has tons of speed in skill positions and play makers and two very, very good QB's in Elam and Salmons. the negatives were some high snaps that cleared Elam's head a couple times. Corbin's line is not as big as they usually are but I think they will be ok other than I think they will have to be locked in for Pikeville's run game. I thought they came out a little flat early, but I think it will be good for them in the long run because it showed them what to look at before Pikeville and tune in. which I don't question with the quality of the coaching staff they have. I think they performed their best under pressure. they looked more like a darn good 4A team instead of a really good 6A grade team like last year and so it just felt a little different in my opinion.(08-17-2024, 08:03 AM)Old School 18 Wrote: Why hasn’t their been no Corbin GRC update?

Even if Pikeville made a lot of substitutions Pikeville 2nd and 3rd stringers would be the star of the team at most schools in located in the region.(08-16-2024, 11:52 PM)HollyWood24 Wrote: Martin competed surprisingly well against pikes starting d.
