Per khssa job postings and talking to some people, Nicholas County job is open. Coach stepped down stating family reasons or something like that.
He moved closer to his family with a new baby. Any word on Nicholas? I heard Roger Newton could be the guy there.
Roger lives in Ashland and commutes daily to teach at Montgomery. I’ll ask him tomorrow. I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he didn’t mention anything to me about it. Then agian we discussed our families.
That’s a long haul from Ashland to MoCo or Carlisle.
I’ve got some sources that are saying Owsley will be open soon.
Any relation to the Nicholas job or just open?

No relation to my knowledge
That’s a big loss with his son being a great upcoming freshmen.
I'm hearing they are going to MoCo. Both Terry's.

Ding ding ding
Roger is a dear friend and whatever he decides I support him. I’d love to see him back. He does have his family Lexington still. And yes that’s a long drive but he does it and he never complains. He deserves some good but that’s my feeling

Owsley will probably try to find someone in the school system to coach with the first day of school starting in the county August 7th, I believe. This also opens up the baseball position as well.
Hearing assistant at Barbourville High School and a local Owsley County guy are candidates for Owsley.

I’ve heard a well known coach who’s had a few coaching jobs in the 14th and surrounding regions is a candidate for the job as well.
The coach should be Kyle!

I’m gonna say that he enjoys the role that he’s currently in.

What's the coach's name?
Owsley County hired Tyson Gross today as their head boys basketball coach. Tyson is a former Owls player, graduating in 2005. All Regional player and led his team to a 56th district championship.
