Rhodes complained early in the game to let the kids play. So the rest of the game they did. Then he complains about not getting calls. I thought it was physical in the paint the whole game. I think the fouls where within 2 or 3 the entire game. Clay may have got a call or 2 but Rhode was down 2 with 2 min to go and held the ball for basically the last shot. Imo that's not smart , you extend the game not shorten it. I THOUGHT the Block on the last shot attempt by Smith and the won he penned on the Keita dunk won the game.

Closer than I thought it would be

I made the trip over with a few of my north buddies, and I think the refs called a decent game. I wouldn't say that they robbed Cordia. I thought the hanging on the rim technical was touchy but by the rule I guess it was the right call. Smiths blocks where huge tonight and I thought his defense won the game. Farmer looked tired to me. Is this kid that out of shape. Nice win for the tigers. Smith and Wolfe attacked the rim all night , I like that, didn't think they would go at cordia's big boy.
#15
Nice mod gut. Good called game and most are disappointed that Clay is in that bad of shape
#16
Cordia trying to hold the ball helped Clay get back in this game. Down 10 with what, 4 minutes or so left? I did like the fact that Rhodes held his players accountable for mistakes. Once again, Clay comes out sluggish. Smith was consistent on both ends the entire game. I thought Clay was done when Trey was getting stripped, not getting back on defense, and taking a horribly contested 3 in the corner. Then turns it on with some big shots and ices the game at the line. I just wish he would get his body right and pour it on both ends. Had a few really nice blocks in the first half. I'll take any win. Cordia is a good squad.

After meeting some of the folks from Cordia and seeing their kids in person I have to say they all are class acts. Keita is a special young man. Best of luck to the Lotts Creek community. I also was very impressed with Smith tonight from CC. He finished with 17 on 8 for 11 fgs. Wolfe looks to be playing his best ball of the year at just the right time. Good game tonight.

Congrats to the CC Tigers.

Keta is a special person he has a huge upside he just turned 15 December 22. Cordia has a young talented team. They only have 1 senior chapman. Chisom the point guard is a junior he has always been in a substitute role he is still learning and the limited schedule does not help. Bialias is a junior he played only jv last year he is like a freshman. The Nelson kid number 11 is a sophomore this is only his 4th high school game ever he never played last year.and mercado just a freshman cordia will be very good over the next three years.

Couldnt agree more about Cordia, they handle themselves with class the whole game and I agree with Buford they are gonna be hard to handle next few years. As far as the game went thought Smith really stood out tonight. That kids all around game is as good as it gets. Also thought Wolfe looked really good for the 2nd game in a row. But I thought Farmer has Forced alot of bad shots the last 2 games and has made some huge turnovers. Dont know if the conditioning is causing this or what but theres no reason for him jacking up contested off the drible 3's on this team. He did play a little defense tonight which i liked. Overall a much needed win, Now we need to go take care of business at KNOX.

Cordia has a very good team and I was surprised how well Wolfe is starting to play. We all knew what he is capable of. Cordia holding the ball at the end was baffling.Smith is as a good defender there is in this area and if you score, you have earned it.Great game and Cordia was very cordial on and off the floor.Great game.

So are you as a mod accusing the refs of cheating? In a pm you said no one cares about Clay anyway but clearly if you are playing in the 13 region and "don't care" about the Tigers then you are happy with district championships.
In any sport Clays name is flagship
#23
Clay is King of the Mountains. Not afraid to play Cordia like the 14th region so called powers.

What? You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Knott and Perry have both already beat Clay. And they would both beat Cordia. Gets your facts straight.

Knott beat Clay in a very competitive game. And Perry had the stripes do it for them

It really gets old hearing people blame the refs all the time when their team just wasnt better than the other. And i really dont see how anyone could talk about Clay being cheated by the refs. It is easier to beat UK at Rupp then it is Clay in Manchester.

Gut is not accusing anything really. Just simply stating the truth. In every sport Clay always has the upperhand at home. And it aint because their talent either.

It's laughable that you don't/won't list three or four more programs (all within 50 miles of Manchester) that have the same tradition you describe...laughable and it discredits your post from the start.

For ANYONE to insinuate Clay County is singular to this crap is moronic.
