I can only hope they're looking for a new coach it would be nice to go back to a girls BB game again. I promised about four years ago I wouldn't go back until she was gone. PLEASE!

Rumor in LC is that Tom Holbrook former LMS 8th grade coach and Rose Hill star will be coaching the Lady Dawgs this year.

Well I wouldnt bet the house on it just yet, but that is one of the names I have been hearing. He id one heck of a coach along with being a great person as well.

As of yet no announcement has been made. Not fair tol the girls who aren't doing any kind of conditioning at this point.

It\'s official! Tom Holbrook is the new head coach for the girls at Lawrence County. Thy announced it Wednesday. This is what they needed. Good Luck Dawgs :Thumbs:

They could contend for the district title this year. They will have to work hard to get there, I think its Magoffin Co's to lose.

I think they will definitely have to work hard. They aren't used to it, especially since they haven't conditioned. Any word on his staff?

I am very excited to see what they are going to do this season. The girls have loads of potential and they needed a good coach that could bring it out and actually coach and teach the girls. I honestly think they have a chance at contending in districts. I mean why not? They stayed with Magoffin Co. in both regular season games last year so I think that they have a good chance. I'm just glad to see us get a new coach . It was way past due . Good luck coach Holbrook and I think you might see alot more support at your games then we have had in a very long time . And I bet they will be alot more girls come out to play B-ball this year because of the change .:Cheerlead

I know I'll be back to watch them for the first time in three or four years. Glad to see we finally have a coach. Lord knows we haven't had one in like 10 years between the last two so called coaches.

My question is what kind of supposrt staff did Holbrook get? I heard he got a teacher from the school who's never coached a team before. Seems she's only there becasue she's a woman and that's what he needed for a girls team. One would've thought he might have had soem of the asst staff from last year back. Especially Cox...she knows the game of basketball.

One place I would look at is The Girls Coach at Fallsburg he know's the game as good as any one I have ever seen coach the game the girls love him and he's one that can get the most out of any body .But his schdule is pretty I tight think but I'm sure he will get him a good staff and have a good team good luck Coach:Thumbs:

She is mainly there at the high school to be his eyes and ears since he teaches at the Elem School.
