You think Luke would leave his team this late?  He declined an offer in April of '18 from Ironton, after being unanimously approved for the job. Corbin has seen to it that politics, personal agendas, and egotism are the driving forces behind its decisions related to athletics. Corbin Citizens have some responsibility to bear, as well,  because of their its apathy and stoic resignation to the goings on of these criminals in charge.

This is why I have no confidence, 5 years ago today I told everyone why. By gosh it all came true. I wouldn’t have thought Haddix would be 4 out 4 though. Tom, Jewell, Burley, Steve Hart, Tremane and Cox got exactly what they deserve. They look like idiots. If they would’ve supported Haddix we would’ve had a minimum of 2 rings the last 4. But no. We needed TOM in control! He told you what you wanted to hear. He was bringing back 1980s football. No more chrome helmets. No more boom boxes. No new uniforms. No new stadium. No Turf. No work on the field house. No new coaches, you keep who we pick. If you don’t like em, do without but we keep the money. No teaching positions either. No Haddix Hounds Tshits. No social media hype.

Here we are today in shambles. With top notch facilities. Still no coach named and it’s June basically.

The worst part about this is the adults, how they have hurt the kids. On purpose for their gain. Best thing that could happen would be a clean sweep of the board, remove Dave. Give the kids a chance! Where those for sale signs at? All the OLD Hounds need one!

Year in and year out Corbin isn’t built to win the championships the same as Boyle. A lot more athleticism in central Ky. But if you think Haddix wouldnt have played the twins both ways. Played to the strength of his offense by throwing the ball to his players in space. And defensively made changes at halftime. YOU are either one of the fools I mentioned above or know nothing about the game of football!

I’d venture to say, not only is he the best hs coach in KY at his age. But possibly all 50 states. Working on 5 out of 5. If you think chuck smith leaves with 4 years of championship caliber teams coming you are also crazy. He would NOT have won 3 out of 4 with those teams. Tell me I’m wrong!!

Salmons is a good coach.  Elephant in the room here.  Who's the QB for Corbin ?  Salmon's kid, Mason,  is a stud QB, that led CM last season. I was blown away by the tape on him. 

Also, does anyone know the answer to this? Does the Board have to approve this hiring to make it official or can Jewell make the hiring unilaterally?  Jewell's leaving. I think he decided to go rogue on the Board and squash their plans for January.

Kentucky law literally won't allow the board to have any say in it. It is 100% illegal for school board members to make hires. The only two people a school board hires are the Superintendent and the Board Attorney, if it is any job besides those two they can't have any part in the hiring process.
