Figured if I started this thread it would keep the other one Justin Haddix free.

Why would he go to a team he has dominated, a team he will dominate, when all they have to offer is money…and like wins over Corbin, he already has money.

If Dave Cox announces that he is resigning as Super and Steve Jewell announces that he is resigning as Principal, then I'll say, okay, the stars have aligned and Haddix might be coming back. Until then, not a chance in hell!!! The Holy Trinity from Hell would have to be removed before Haddix would even begin to entertain such a move. Two-thirds of infinite Evil is still Evil.

I’m happy with Haddix at Boyle County and my NIL deal with Cattlemen steak house.

I don't blame him.

good thing is this time you can’t run when you start to suck. Same district for years to come.

Whitley County never really loses when Corbin wins.
win by proxy

Maybe this thread should be archived for its soon-to-be historical significance.

So, Haddix just had the best team in the state last year regardless of class. He has scheduled a top tier Ohio team to play, in Ohio. He returns the best skill players who are proven gamers. He has won 4 straight titles. He IS NOT from Corbin.
But he’s returning to Corbin.
It’s just so logical.

So is he returning to Corbin? If he did that tells me Corbin must have made a offer he couldn't turn down.

From what I've been told on how he was treated at Corbin, I have a better chance of identifying as a supermodel and making the cover of Sports Illustrated than Haddix going back to Corbin.

I wonder in 10-15 years from now how many of y'all will still be posting about Justin Haddix returning to Corbin. After the 2024 season, Haddix will have been at Boyle as long as he was at Corbin. His kids will have been in the Boyle school system as long as they were in the Corbin school system. The Boyle administration allows Haddix to chose his own staff, Dave Cox in Corbin was adamant that Haddix keep Mouser on his staff and Haddix said no. Next thing you know, Haddix is shown the door in Corbin. In the end, Corbin chose Mouser over Haddix and the rest is history. Corbin will not survive another good ole boy hire.

You work it, Rebel. I'll buy a copy of that SI . It doesn't take much to get Old School excited anymore. My seed turned to sawdust back about 1985.

Rebel is in pretty good shape. He needs to enter a few contest to figure out if modeling is for him lol.

I'm glad you did. Just pure silliness. People want to believe the craziest things. I'm more likely to be raptured than JH is to wear Red again. And we all know Old School ain't likely to be raptured ...RIGHT ???

Justin's next landing spot will not be at a high school. Boyle County will be hiring a new coach within a year, maybe 2.
They do have a couple recent hires that could step in for him

Anyone could step in for Justin but that doesn't mean they can coach like Justin. One thing I have learned in following high school sports is plenty of men get the opportunity to coach high school football and it always brings some excitement for a short period. It does not take long to find out what level of a coach they are. If a coach has what I call the championship type mentality, then no matter where they go, the program will metamorphose into a program that mirrors a championship type team, depending on the program it may take a little while but if it's a top program, you might get results immediately. Justin is the hottest coach in Kentucky IMO right now and don't look to slow down anytime soon. Mike Holcomb is another example of one who can do this same thing and has proven to be able to do so. Clay Clevenger is also another coach who is able to do the same thing. I would say South Laurels John Hines is one. I would assume Pikeville's Chris Mcnamee would be one. Nathan McPeek would be one of Frederick Douglass. Some of the newcomers is coaches like Brandon Smith of South Warren who has won some championships and Keegan Kendrick of Bullitt East is one I would say is the newest member of the championship club. Now when you talk about these type coaches, they are not readily available. Now, of course I know there are some more in Kentucky but not many. Now the reason I have said all this, a lot of coaches can step in for these type coaches but that doesn't mean you get results like these type coaches. Another key thing is does said program also have in place the right type politics to hold a championship coach and back him with resources to be able to have the success that all schools want. Schools who win championships have put in alot of hard work and alot of the process has bought in to make it happen. Places like Beechwood, Mayfield, Pikevilles, Boyle County, Bowling Greens, South Warrens that consisitely win year after year have a system and the right feeder systems to do this. But it still takes the right man after saying all that steer the ship. So I just cannot say anyone can step in and win. They can win games but winning 3rd, 4th and 5th Round Playoffs is a whole another animal.

COACHES DO MATTER!!! Yes, there has to be an infrastructure and a lot of support around the coach and program, but when it gets down to that close game in the third, fourth, and fifth round of the playoffs, you need that evil genius on the sidelines to come up with just the right recipe to pull out a win.

Back to the thread title. Who is on the shortlist for the Redhounds. Justin ain’t coming back to play with Cox and Jewell. He has a great chance to go 5 for 5 at Boyle. While doing so, we won’t have to mow the field, turn on sprinklers, beg for assistant coaches of his choosing, chrome helmets, uniform colors, and his boom box.
