Hearing Prestonsburg is opening up, once again. Told by a few people that Parsley has had no communication with players, parents or admins. 
I personally thought Parsley was the man for the job. But something has changed in the last few months. What's next for the Blackcats ???

I wish him nothing but the best as do all his friends and teammates.  But to act like you know what is going on is crazy.  The only thing you are doing is hiding behind fake name accounts and stirring trouble.  Which apparently is what a lot of people like to do.  Rumors how childish for adults to do this and think it's funny when the only thing you are doing is hurting kids and a school.  Make it look like some program is in trouble to make you fee better about yourself.  If any of you want to have a legitimate adult conversation about what is going on at Prestonsburg by all means please contact me.  I suspect you won't because I will expose you on here for who you really are and what you are saying.  Peace out - Thomas Nairn

I know you are new here and maybe aren't familiar with the way BGR runs but this is a sports forum talking about local sports teams.  The person who created the thread stated that they are hearing Chase is leaving the program.  This isn't anything new being said.  There was rumor talks about him taking the job at the prison in West Virginia.  No one in this thread has said anything negative about Chase or any kids.

I know Harold Tackett has head coaching experience, but I'd rather have Justin Allen or Mason Hall if Parsley is in fact gone. I've said it a few times on here that Justin actually cares about Prestonsburg and would be committed to making a career of leading the Blackcats. Mason Hall has won every level he's coached at and is the type of coach that could get kids to come out for basketball and has a talented player that will likely be at worst, all District next season, possibly all region. Both of those coaches are fairly young as well. Didn't Tackett already retire from teaching? How much longer is he planning on sticking around?

Nobody is trying to bash Prestonsburg I root for all Floyd County athletes, just simply trying to say the two players from Prestonsburg we spoke too both said some assistant was a big reason why they were thinking bout leaving. I hope Prestonsburg gets things fixed because Floyd County looks better when all 3 schools are playing well. Either way we are winning the 58th, Mikes got this

I heard toward the end of the regular season that he was leaving, and that's still all I've heard since the season ended. Regardless, if he plans on steeping aside, he needs to do so soon so they can get a new coach in to meet with players, get started on an off season program, schedule for summer ball etc. We all know Chase coaches with intensity on the sidelines, one thing I noticed down the stretch, and I seen them play quite a bit this past season was that he seemed to have been checked out during some games, like he didn't want to be there, bad body language, and the players sensed that too. Not trying to bash him or his team in anyway, but just some things that I noticed and took away toward the end of the season. One name I seen mentioned above was Mason Hall, if Chase and Pburg decides to go their separate ways, Mason has to be considered. I just hope whoever gets it, gets a chance to actually build something there.

Everyone I have spoke with who work at the prison said it would be next to impossible for him to be the head coach and work his schedule at the prison. If he does leave, I don't know who they would even go after. I've been a part of or been around Prestonsburg athletes all of my life, and it's at an all time low in my opinion, and it starts with the parents and administration.

I heard that about the prison job as well, had a feeling though with his schedule that he wouldn't be able to coach as well. If you're wanting to go with a young, hungry coach then Mason Hall would be someone to look at. But you know how it works around here, someone will get it who done a favor for someone else, someone who would be underserving or not qualified, but that's how it goes. I agree about the parents, if they would just stay out of the way and stop complaining about their kids not getting playing time, coaches would want to stay and administration would, and should have more backbone and not bow down to the pressure.

Keathley has let it be known many times (including a Facebook post a couple of minutes ago) that he isn't going to be coaching high school and has no interest in it.

First game I seen he was checked out, was at the FC game when they hung 100 on them. It was a 25 point game after the 1st qtr and he just threw in the flag immediately. It was close to or more than 30 at half. Then the next week hosting Betsy Layne, big district game on your home court and lose by nearly 40. The signs where there, the team really played to his identity most of the season, intense, but those last few weeks was a complete 180, terrible body language from the players, wasn't their fault, just emulating what they seen from their coach.
