Fleming County trailed by 13 at the end of the third quarter but were at the line with a chance to cut it to three with just over a minute remaining. After the free throw game began, Fleming had possession and a look at three to cut the lead to two with around 30 seconds remaining, but that look fell short and the Tomcats were able to get the rebound to shut the door on any chance of a comeback.
Ashland Blazer moves on to face cross-town rival Boyd County in what I can imagine may be a heated regional championship game tomorrow night.

A Fleming Co player shoved an Ashland player to the ground...no call! The 9th Region officials DID NOT have an overall good tournament. They let the defense put 2 hands on the ballhandler and stop his path. Putting 2 hands on a player is the ball is a "point of emphasis", they must have missed the memo.
