Final from Manchester.

Ole Coach Jones can’t coach a lick huh? Couple Clay homers eating their crow now. Happy to see Clay improving.

You knew it was going to happen. Didn’t take long for Jones to get things turned around.

Great win for jones and they could go 12-0 to end the season, but this is another example of how the 14th region is a different level of suck. Top two teams come to the 13th and fall.

You are a poetic artist my friend.

No one questioned his coaching , when he was hired at Clay. It was other things. I thought Gray was a good coach and, from all indications, he is a fine, fine man. Good, quality human.  Jones, on the other hand,  is probably a better fit for Clay County and Manchester.

You know you’re doing well when the haters come out of the woodwork. I did think Clay got a bit of a favorable whistle against Hazard but definitely not against Corbin. I will say Hazard as a whole looked to lack quickness. Anyone that says the coaching change in Manchester wasn’t a great decision is a fool. Just look at the amount of fans in the stands, the effort given by the players, etc. But, MOST importantly look at the in-game adjustments made by Jones. Holy moly…he sometimes makes more adjustments in half a quarter than Gray would make in 2-3 games AND they work!

If game was at Memorial it would been same score probably but Hazard would been on top.

Hazard shot 90% jump shots and Clay shot 90% shots in the paint.  Anytime that happens you will have a huge gap in fouls and free throws.

I will say this I wasn't impressed with Hazard.  They have a good record but haven't played a difficult schedule at all.  Clay dominated them on the inside and that was without 2 starters.  I still think Clay has a long way to go if they want to be considered a contender.  They can't shoot free throws and they have no real consistent outside shooting.

I still think they hired the wrong person for the job, but no one said Jones wasn't a good coach.  Gray was a decent person but terrible X and O "in game coach".  I still think Hibbard would have did just as good of a job if not better with this Clay team and he came without all the baggage.
