Lions finish Runner-up in the Cumberland Falls Invitational at Corbin

Corbin struggled in the CFIT this year. Lost by double digits to both Daniel(SC) and Webb(TN). Corbin's likely the deepest team in the region but depth can be a curse, as well as a blessing. The Corbin team has yet to develop an identity. Nothing is really clicking. A lot of different rotations, nothing consistent/coherent. Unless they find themselves soon, it could be a rough stretch for the Hounds with Harlan County and Ashland coming to town and the annual beating at the hands of South Laurel on the horizon , as well.

Your opinion has changed a lot in 2 weeks.
It has, indeed. Corbin has lost three games, none of which I expected them to lose. They lost those games by 21, 14, and 10, respectively. Unless the Corbin AD goes down to the Tim Short Auto Mall and pays a couple of guys to wear the striped shirts for Friday's and Saturday's games , the Hounds could be looking at a few more double digit losses in their immediate future. Corbin has 9 or 10 guys that can play but there are also 9 or 10 daddies and mommies that think their little Jimmy or Johnny should be playing more than little Billy or Bobby. That's why I say that depth can be both a blessing and a curse, and Tony P is finding that out and trying to sort through it right now. He will have them playing better by March but will it be enough to satisfy the moms & dads AND beat Harlan County ?
Now, is that the Old School honesty you've missed for a few weeks?
