Corbin @ Boyle County 11/17 3RD ROUND
(11-17-2023, 11:18 AM)Rebel55 Wrote: I think I remember seeing that Corbin's 1st. team defense gave up only 1 TD before the Taylor Game.  If both TD's last week was on the 1st. team D that's 3 touchdowns in 12 games.  WOW!  Some of these scores has Boyle doubling that total in a half.  Personally I see Boyle well under their average but well above what Corbin has been giving up.  I'm expecting 21-28 points for Boyle.  Question is that enough?

The only thing I really feel confident in saying about this matchup is that Corbin will be the best opponent Boyle has faced this season and Boyle will easily be the best Corbin has faced. I think it's very hard to predict an outcome based on the teams' previous games, or even common opponents. It's all about individual matchups in this game. I feel like the talent is immense on both sides. Coaching and being at home gives Boyle a solid edge. I could see either team winning. Corbin probably needs a couple of breaks to go their way, though. I hope it's a game for the ages.

Wild how much Corbin fans and Corbin kids have posted on social media this week. Will be interesting to see if they can back it up.

I’d take the first place you find empty.

If anybody sees OSH walking to the game from Cattleman's give him a ride.

Look for a guy carrying two signs , one that says, "Tommy, what was the #1 movie in 1982?" (It was "ET" , btw)  and the other one that says, "Phase 2 of the Campbell Field Remodel: Bring Back Haddix!"

Keep us updated on rain fall! My weather shows a 30% from 7-10 but I may still bring my frog togg suit. Lol.
Weather channel has it more like 50% during that time frame, so I would bring a rain suit. Really nice and warm right now and I am only a mile from the staduim.

I'm really a nice fella. A little bit eccentric, maybe, but a friendly sorta chap. Smile I'm a safe pickup for someone to give me a lift . And Jack, I bet you are the kinda guy who would give a fella a ride. You seem like a nice dude. I give strangers rides on occasion, myself. May come back to haunt me someday.

As of 2:10 pm. weather channel now has likely precipitations between 15-20%.
^^^ Yep. Hourly forecast now says very little chance of rain the rest of the day.

Looks like it's going to be dry for the game.

Both teams better tighten up those chin straps tonight because I think that they are in for a real slobber knocker and that's all I got to say about that.
Hope the weather folks are wrong. Rain just got here in Western Boyle County. Hope its not runnin late
Someone give me an update on weather… my app says 20% from now until 11 PM.

Is it raining there currently? Has it rained much today?
lt has "looked" like rain all day. But I've only seen a few drops. My WKYT weather app now saying 15% chance between 7-10 pm. Looks like it will be dry for the most part.

All you Redhounds be careful on the drive up if you haven't left already.

Been drizzling and raining lightly since I typed that.  That one's on me.  Might as well have started to wash my truck as to say that.  Maybe it won't last.

Me too!!  I've got an old Cabelas poncho that will keep you dry in a monsoon!  It's more like wearing a tent.

Boyle 7,Corbin 0 with 6 minutes left in the first quarter.
That was easy for Boyle see what Corbin can do.
7-7 almost end of first quarter.
Corbin answers back on a 23 yard run. Game tied at 7.
Boyle 14-7 with 8 mins left in the first half.

14-14 game. Late 1st half.

14-14 at the half. Corbin has looked a little better than Boyle.

I agree, although kind of an ugly game. 2 interceptions by Boyle -one by Corbin. Think this could go either way. I think Corbin’s play calling has been better than Boyles. Never thought I’d say that.
