Blowouts
#1
Everyone complains about the first round playoff blowouts, yet noting is ever said about the weekly regular season blowouts, this week specifically is a prime example.  Mostly district games, many between the #1 and #2 team in the district and blowout.

Whats the difference, let the kids play.

My thoughts are districts should be done away with if we are using RPI.   That would avoid a lot of regular season blow outs that are required because they are district games.  Last week Raceland put a running clock on Fairview in a district game in the 1st quarter and could have scored over 100 points in that game if they really wanted to.  Games like that do no one any good and it probably isn’t any fun for the kids getting pounded on in those games either.  As for the playoffs, it’s fair game  and blowouts happen in all rounds including the finals.

The difference is the RPI. Get rid of the districts so teams aren’t forced to play these RPI killing teams

i completely agree but pikeville already is only playing 8... making them find 3 more opponents would be disaster
