This one should be a dandy!! Both teams have been playing good football!! With Lc's fast defense and the offense starting to fire on all cylinders I'm gonna say it'll be no cakewalk either way!! I'm gonna say this again, LC stops the run game and comes out with a tough W in this series!! Being away my gutt feeling is the bulldawgs will have to play a perfect game!! Belfry has a stout home field edge. That makes it tough to win with a “hidden yardage” advantage.
But all in all, it seems like this series has reached an equilibrium. It will be the team that makes the most mistakes that ends up on the short end and in 2nd place.

But the team has earned the suspect status and Jekyll and Hyde rep. They’ll have to beat Belfry, a laundry crew, and their own rep Friday.

When healthy …..Belfry is a very good team. No way good enough to win a title IMO….. but…good enough to win the district… and advance relatively deep into the playoffs, depending on the RPI wash out. It’s unclear how healthy they will be come Friday night. I know they’ve been playing with 5-6 starters out of the lineup….including their QB.

If Belfry is reasonably healthy…..They should win. LC hasn’t played any where near the schedule the Pirates have. Both teams appear to be a little loose with the ball….so that could be an issue. Penalties have also plagued the Pirates. They had 3-4 TD’s called back last night due to senseless penalties.

So…how healthy will Belfry be? Will TO’s and penalties end up being a factor? Does Varney return from his injury and resume his QB role?

Those are the questions. Friday will provide the answers.

I would say they are more than 35 points better than they were and I’m confident in that. Belfry is not the same that they have been and that’s evident. They have injuries they are dealing with and that’s noticeable. They still have some dudes that can do some things. I like this matchup and think it’s going to be a battle. I don’t see either team blowing the other one out.

What matters is not these LC keyboard warriors bragging about how great their team is and the only reason they play Belfry because it’s a district game if it wasn’t they would pick up another super team like Shelby valley oh I forgot they won’t play them anymore because they beat them like they have dropped Raceland and a few years ago Pikeville so man up and go down 23 and play teams like Johnson Central and see how that great record is Belfry will play teams that will beat them and challenge them and if Belfry don’t fumble the game away like they did last year they will beat LC

I hope I’m wrong but feel like it will be a tough task for the young Bulldogs to go to pond creek and pull off the win. It might be a different story come playoff time when these young men get more reps under their belt. Looking forward to a good injury free game. Go Dogs!

Lawrence will strengthen their schedule in the years to come, I can promise you that. I know what you’re saying and I agree. Belfry does play a rough schedule and I respect that. I think playing tougher teams does make you better and I think Lawrence will do that in the next years to come.

Other than the Perry game, this team has done nothing to suggest that they are beating belfry at pond creek. You have to be 7 points better to win on the road in any instance, and 14 to win in pond creek. Regardless i don’t think they are good enough to win anywhere. Belfry has lost to a top 5 5A team, probable state champion 1A school, and a chirico coached GRC. But not valley… Belfry wins 42-28

Beef up lol. Why wouldn’t LC play Pikeville the year of the Covid and won’t schedule them now or in the future. Won’t schedule Raceland, Ashland, JC or any other tough teams. How many total games have all the teams that LC has played put together won this year??? I’m guessing not many. And that’s the reason they will never make it to Kroger in December always will be bouncing the roundball instead!!!!

They will strengthen their schedule in the years to come after this two year contract is up. We shall see if they will ever make it to Kroger, time will tell. I believe in the coaching staff and the kids they have now and the ones they have coming up.
