Belfry is a work in progress…..and I’m not sure they have the tools to go very far. Defensively….the line play is very inconsistent….and Belfry is very small upfront. Took poor angles tonight…and against a quicker team….that’s a recipe for disaster. Offensively…..things changed when the big lineman went out with an injury. However…..Belfry simply isn’t good enough to overcome stubbing their toe with mental mistakes. Too many penalties and turnovers to beat a team with the size and speed of GRC. Tip of the hat to Clark Co. They stayed focused and didn’t fold when Belfry had them down in the 2nd quarter. Unfortunately….this game was eerily similar to the Lawrence Co game last year. Belfry comes out…takes control early….and then falls apart. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Belfry has to get better or next 3 week will be ugly. Next 3 opponents are all better than GRC
