Corbin should win this game easy. GRC lost its RB to Bryan Station.

Heard Clark County will struggle to win many games this year. Hard to believe with a school that size.

I don’t 7-4 last year with an extremely difficult schedule and the loss of their best player to Bryan station. They’ll be lucky to win 3 games.
I expected them to improve.

Didn’t Coach Chiroco come in and at least have a good season last year. I know he seems to be a good coach. I understand the transfers. I don’t blame any kid who wants to try something different. I think if he stays. GRC has to get better.

The current SR and JR class were very down years talent wise as they came through middle school, it wont be surprising to see GRC to take a few steps back at least this year.

However they have a solid SO and FR class.

Sometimes talent just cycles through and programs have to deal with it.

Could be karma.  How do you folks think Paintsville won their stat title?

I was sitting on the sideline at Paintsville one time enjoying my  Chester Fried chicken livers and orange Nehi , when hard core rap full of obscenities,  was blasted over the speakers all of a sudden. I couldn't believe that was going on at a high school football game.

Heard GRC is really low on numbers and had a ton of kids quit and or leave a week ago? True or no?

Not sure about a ton, but heard 3 went to Bryan Station a couple weeks ago.

Based on the photos of the Johnson Central scrimmage, JC looked to dominate that performance. Looked like a unfair fight. GRC is in trouble Friday.

Yea, GRC picked up several kids playing for Franklin County's middle school a few years ago When Chirico took over. all of them have since left. One of them's dad I think we very involved in the team. I wondered how long it would take for that to sour. you hear a lot of things but who knows what's true. Their middle school is always very good in the bluegrass conference but they are much larger than all the schools they play, not sure if that makes a difference or not, but they never seem to be very good in high school.

or you just go out and fill half your roster with transfers. Works for some

The transfer stuff doesn't bother me like it used to because you have to do what's best for your kid, but the not actual moving and using another address is what bothers me. Two teams that won state titles last year(probably more) most of there star players didn't even play MS ball for them. I guess no different than the privates. Probably why same teams win titles year after year can pull kids in from other towns, states, but more power to them I guess.

My problem is when the key contributor transfers get punished. There are kids I could name that have played at 3 different schools in as many years without having moved their residence once with no problems. They are not great players but just as soon as someone could change a team’s fortunes, everyone pisses and moans, and tries to ruin a kids childhood because it annoys adults.
