Any news on the Hatfield-McCoy Bowl this year?????

I was just wondering if anyone knew what seniors from each school are playing in it and any other news bout this bowl game?????

Ron Blume from Johnson Central is playing in it....
I think maybe Sean Music the QB from JC is playing in it too.

I think that Howard, Curtis, Blanton, Music, and Blume from Johnson Central are all playing in it!!! I'm not for sure though!!!

I know that former Pikeville College RB coach Butch Joplin is coaching the Kentucky team. Joplin coached the 2003 Kentucky and if I'm not mistaking the 2003 team is the last time Kentucky won the game, and the only one in the last 5 years. The Kentucly squad should be loaded this year, ALOT of good talent in EKY this past year that SHOULD be playing in it.

Butch Joplin is helping coach Phelps this year as well. Butch coached when I was in high school and Phelps had a great team then. This was of course back in the 80's..... He is a wonderful person and an outstanding coach!!! Go Butch and Ky!!!!!

Butch was an assistant at Pikeville while I played there hes a good guy and a good coach.

I believe the game is on July 29th at Matewan...........Steve Thacker, Jimmy Coleman and Daniel Justice are playing in it from East Ridge as far as I no........who all is playing in it from other schools?? anyone?

Shelby Valley has 4 playing, 1 lineman ,Center Josh Damron 6'3'' 268lbs,who signed with UVA WISE, Johnathan McPeek 5'10'' 195lbs RB, Larry May 6' 200lbs RB/DB, and Jerimiah Johnson 5'11''180lbs SS/OLB who was invited because of his ability to be an outstanding special teams player.He had something like 17 tackles on kickoffs alone, and didn't play his last 3 games of the season.

The Pirates will be represented by Jordan Phillips (QB), Justin Gooslin (OL,DE), Matt Maynard (RB,DB). Aaron Chapman was invited to play but will not participate due to injury sustained in baseball.

As of right now no. None of the players from Pburg sent in their papers. I know coach Joplin tried calling Derosset all week last week and never could get hold of him.

Weston is playing in it, Tim Champlin will also be playing in the game. That's the only two Pikeville players I know of that are, you would think that Will Lockhart would be playing in it, but IDK.
