Great Basketball Player
#1
A great player is at practice everyday, if there is no practice, he is at open gym. If there is no open gym, he plays at home and never misses a day to work on his weak spots . He never trash talks and can turn off those who do. He can walk up to the free throw line and hit a shot under pressure . He never lets what other people say determine his attitude. He is never arrogant. He plays to win and not to intentionally hurt another player. He always shakes hands at the end of a game and respects the players on the other teams. He will not quit untill the game is over. He respects his team mates and never lets anything interfer with their team play. He does not resent another team mate doing well. It is all for the team. If you know players like this, then you know winners.

All you old dudes that don't want these players to succeed, Forget it! When you set them up for failure , it ain't gonna work. They are smarter than you!

I agree! I like a player who wants to feel the pressure, wants the ball and wants to take the pressure off of his teammates!

Kris Bentley, former Shelby Valley sharpshooter, was one of these players. I remember at practice, if it wasn't his time to be on the floor with the coach, then he had a ball on the other end of the court working on his ball handling skills. This kid strived to be all he could and it has paid off for him.
