Who predicted Corbin to beat Johnson Central by a running clock?
To borrow from Dougie, I'm predicting we smoke their hind ends. And I'm gonna be at the gate with the lovely parting gifts.

If Corbin doesn't smoke their hind ends all of Corbin should demand the whole staff be replaced

people just conjure up stuff that no one said. Then they use as part of their arguments! And it happens a lot! Especially to redhound fans. I’m not saying you did this Gold, I could have very well passed over it,but I haven’t seen anyone say Corbin will put a running clock on JC. Most aren’t even saying anything about a JC game. We’ve got a tough opponent this Friday. Or that’s what eagles fans have said. I think they’ll be tough as well though
Johnson Central 42 Wayne 14. I could actually see JC shutting out Wayne. Wayne's QB is legit, but he doesn't have the wide out talent to be the dual threat he could be. He's young and will improve his accuracy over the next 2 years. Wayne works on their wide receiver group this could be a good 2 year run they are about to have. This kid is NOT Sloan. He's not quite got Sloan's vision. But he's taller, and has some of what Sloan had. But he does play QB and isn't going to be forced into it like Sloan was against JC a few years back. Still, JC is still JC and they win this.

JC had the better team in 2020 and had the better game plan in 2021 and executed it very well. Corbin was in disarray internally this time last season. They had the talent to win but team chemistry had been compromised . This season's Redhounds appear to be a united front with a single-minded focus. Look for the Redhounds to wipe the field with the Eagles. I will be waiting at the gate with enough tissues to last you all the way back to Paintsville. Entertain that sh!t!!!

Does anybody know if Carter Conley has resumed practicing with the team? I would hate to see him return to action before he is ready, but it would sure be great to see him score a touchdown during the playoffs if he has fully recovered.

I did hear he would be ready against Corbin but thats coming from a friend off the record. I just hope he is healthy, Prayers for him, I like the young man, he is friends with my son. No doubt I know he wants to play.

I don't know how much he was able to work out after he got off the crutches. I really didn't expect to see him return this season. However this season ends for Johnson Central, it is going to be fun to watch their offense next season with Conley and McCoart returning in the backfield and running behind a more experienced offensive line. I hope that Conley has an injury-free senior season. It is tough for a kid to lose nearly a season to a serious injury. This is the second straight year that Johnson Central has lost a starting running back early in the season.

I personally hate these injuries. My boy went through that as well. For Carters sake and I know he would play in crutches, I would rather him be 100% and I know the coaching staff will make sure of that. But I'm like you with his Senior season coming up, they should have some fun. I know the way those boys run and meaning they run wide open, injuries just happen. They hit the hole hard and keep going and thats what makes them so tuff to defend. I see alot of plays where they look down and boom, there gone. I was at the North game when it happened and early in the season North had all there players healthy too and I give alot of credit to Norths defensive coordinator, he is a good one. I like him. But North when healthy has as good of a run defense as you will see from anyone, I went to that Boyle scrimmage too and man those early games was good ones. I got some friends whos kids play at North and they have had pleny of injuries as well. I'm curious if North and Johnson is playing next year after such a good game this year?

Was during the game. Some not so sportsmanlike behavior from some of the JC faithful after a Corbin kid had suffered a very serious injury. I wasn't there but heard accounts from Corbin fans who attended. The Corbin radio guy talked about it on air while the kid was being attended to.

This one will be closer than JC fans want it to be. The weather forecast is definitely in JC's favor but I have a feeling that Wayne County is going to give JC a run for their money.

Wayne I don’t think is good enough to beat JC. But they definitely have the athletes to score on them and maybe make is somewhat close. A very good QB who can run I am throw and a pretty decent coaching staff who will do their best to slow the running game of JCs down.

I didn't watch any of the JC/NL game? What did a pretty mediocre(at best) NL team do to slow the vaunted Ground & Pound of Big Johnson? Wayne County beat North and Johnson loses to them. What up wit dat?

What I see a lot of teams doing including Corbin in the past. Someone will wrap up or two will wrap up a JC RB and the rest just stand there. He breaks free and takes it to the house. When they had achance to stop it. Same on offense, JC was probably one of the better teams in the state About getting down field and blocking. And it showed. Every team can do that if they just had the will and effort.
