This was a brutal game to watch. A lot of respect for Eminence showing up to play the game. Clock was running before 1st qtr was over. JV boys/team played a lot of minutes last night under the lights.

I have ZERO respect for these schools’ admin to keep sending kids to these fiascos.

I’ve seen you say this a couple times in a couple different threads. What exactly is your reasoning for this?

As follows:

The kids!!! A lot of times I have seen this scenario play out. Seniors have packed it in on these bad teams. They try to stick it out; so, they are not labeled a “quitter” and disappoint their Buddies. So, the “injuries” start, and younger kids that are hoping for a better outcome next year are forced into the field….even though they aren’t really ready.

Most 1-2 win teams struggle with numbers already, and they don’t have the man power by the end or the will to compete.

I have coached a state runner up, and I have coached a one win team. Some years, you just aren’t very good. Let it go at that point.

Second- the finances. I took a four seed on a four hour trip once to get running clocked. Our program lost money on the event, and NO ONE that went had any grand memories of being in “the playoffs”!

Finally- capitalism! If you don’t understand this statement; maybe you prefer other systems of economy. Soccer is the sport with all the rules that keep games low scoring and “competitive”.
