I really like Lou. Western in 2a. Coach Preston is a good friend of mine and the Collins kid( their tailback) ran a 4.42 at a U.K. combine. He says he has another kid who is actually a better football player than Collins is who plays slot named Dardon. Both run sub 4-5 40's . They beat 4a lou. Butler 8-3 and 4a Meade co. 10-0 in passing leagues. If any of you mountain football fans wanna see a team with tons of speed, Be at the Honey bowl in Breathitt county, 2nd game of the season. Breathitt hosts long time Danville boy coach Doug Preston and the Western warriors.:dontthink

Middlesboro/Breathitt.......Breahitt will not challange for the State title this year, but they will be tougher than last year. Middlesboro should be tough and have a good year but I do not see them challanging for the title either, but they have a better chance of winning it than does Breathitt.

They gave up 40+ points to a Breathitt team that was terribly inconsistant on offense and consistantly terrible on defense last season. They do have a good offense though.

I know SV don't want to hear this. BUT, why don't the Justice kid play football? He looks like he would be a great tailback. He is fast and he has excellent feet. Just looks like a runningback. Yeah I know he is alittle small but I think he would be a good football player. If not a running back a defensive back. Just wandering.

JC will make a soaring noise I expect them to go far in the district with ashland again and all the way into regionals. But again I love my tomcats and with them having a young QB after the mighty Holbrook has left. I see them doing some noise makin as well.

Johnson Central and Ashland will meet in wk. 9 for the district again this season. JCHS could make a huge rumble in the mountains this season with what they return. Also the team from cross the creek (PHS), will play Pikeville for their respective district. Both teams could be district champs this season and make huge noise in the playoffs. GO JOHNSON CO. TEAMS

JC will definately make some noise. The 2005 team made some noise and laid the foundation for a MONSTER POWERHOUSE in football for the upcoming years. Look for Blake Johnson, Michael Tackett, Tommy Taylor and company to burn it up and be the favorite for the district this year!

but they have to come through the well respected tomcats for the district. Which should be another great match. :redboxer:

In AA, I think the top 3 teams will be
Belfry
Sheldon Clark
Middlesboro
Belfry and Sheldon Clark will battle it out for the Region again this year IMO >>>

Like I want to be saying ashland as well with JC will be making some noise. With these two teams playing toe to toe for jc to finish first in the passing tourney.

I love being the underdog, you dont have to live up to expectations. If you remember a few years back we were in a similar situation, needing a qb, and losing key players all over the field, but we ended up making it to the regional champiobship only to lost to Bell 10-3. We will be fine this year and i expect great things from us, during camp, is usually when we gel together and become a team, and i expect this year to be no different..

The 2A will be hard to pridict cause alot of the teams are equal ! But I look for Belfry or Middlesboro to take Region !
