Ashland had a slow start but they seem to be finding their grove in the second half of the season. East has the better record but their strength of schedule is suspect and if these teams traded schedules I think their records would flip too. That being said, Ashland is going to come into this one looking to avenge last year’s playoff loss and I think the Tomcats take it at home.

Ashland is coming off their best game of the season and East Carter is coming off their first loss. A few weeks ago I thought the winner of the East Carter/Greenup game would win the district but now I'm having second thoughts. I'm giving the edge to Ashland because....well....my coin toss said so....

East Carter is better than I thought they would be this year. However, they haven’t played good competition. Ashland has played better teams and seems to be getting better themselves along they way. Strader, Jennings, and Houston will be too much for East. Order is restored in this district as Ashland rolls.

East also lost that game.  The criticisms about East’s schedule is their wins are full of cupcakes and the one quality team they have played beat them handily.
