If Somerset wins this game, I think they’ll have a really big win for the resume. I know they’re not Beechwood or Corbin level good but a win over Hazard I think really tells a lot about what this team really is this season. I can’t tell if they’re good or mid level.

I can’t predict this one.

On one hand, Somerset winning wouldn’t surprise me or Somerset losing by 17 also wouldn’t surprise me.

Friday night will tell a lot.

The Briar Jumpers have improved over the past couple of weeks and are much better than last year, but Hazard is starting to play well as of late. Hazard is coming off a big win over Ashland, and if they continue to ride the wave of momentum, they will be a tough out. Hazard is so dynamic on offense, and they can beat you on the ground or through the air. Defensively, they are improving and they seem much more disciplined. If Somerset can keep it close going into the fourth, they have a chance, but I feel like offensively, Hazard will be too much for the Briar Jumpers in the end. Hazard wins 35-21.

i have wondered where RoShamBo is. He was the one that was definitely in the know. Used to read their posts to gather the insight.

Hazard has struggled more so far this season than I expected but I still believe they are a legit team...I will take the Dawgs 34-22.

Yes not seen him on here that much.. He definitely helped get some info on Somerset. I don’t mind gathering my own, but it’s slim this year on them.

Hazard really hasn’t struggled outside giving up 50 in the second half up Letcher. Hazard lost it’s starting center in the Breathitt game and still about won the game. Letcher County Central is still continuing to put up big numbers in the 2nd half against teams. The only thing Hazard really lacks in the killer instinct.. If they could develop that then the sky is the limit.

Back to cross districts. Hazard won’t see them or shouldn’t see them until round 3 or later.

Nice I was hoping that was the case, I definitely wouldn't like seeing Pikeville playing a team with as much talent as Hazard in the 2nd round and I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

Wouldn't surprise me to see round 2 this season be either the state semi-finals or at Kroger Field.
