Wheelersburg must have been in no mood to play around with these Kentucky football teams after nearly losing last week at Russell.
I saw the Ashland football team on the news prior to sunrise yesterday morning at a pep rally at their school. I thought this seemed like a bad idea to get the team not only awake so early but also so hyped so early. When you start your day at 5am getting hyped up, you’re sure to hit a wall at 9pm at night. They didn’t just hit the wall. They crashed into the wall. That tells me they weren’t taking this game seriously.
Bad loss for the Tomcats. Most figured they would lose the game, but not by this margin. This puts them with Russell as a team that could be on the verge of having their worst season in a long time. Much like Russell, they have a couple of potential wins coming up on the schedule, though, and then district play which at this point is anyone’s guess as to how that might go.
