Powell County is very one dimensional with their offense. They want to control time of possession and limit snaps for the opposing offenses. So far on the year, they've been mildly successful at it as they're only allowing just short of 21 ppg.

Prestonsburg's offense is clicking on all cylinders right now. Passing game has come along nicely and guys are making plays with the ball in their hands and the line is blocking great. Defense is going to be well prepared for this Powell rushing attack. They just need to get into the backfield and make plays like they've been doing.

I'm hoping to see Prestonsburg play a complete game and keep their foot on the gas and put Powell away when they have the opportunities.

I like the Blackcats to win, 31-12.

I think Coach Brewer will have Prestonsburg ready for the trip to Powell Co. on Friday. The last time these 2 teams met in Powell Co, PBurg had a big halftime lead but struggled to overcome a few mental mistakes. PBurg won by a fairly big margin last year, but I expect Powell Co to try to control the clock with their flexbone offense.

I think PBurg’s senior DL has to continue to play well and dominate the LOS and limit these time consuming drives that Powell likes to go on.

PBurg has an offense that can hit you fast as Reece Hamilton has really improved in the passing game to open up this wing T. Jarvis, Little, George, and Elliott have all made explosive plays with the ball in their hands. The OL and TE, Brayden Goble, have been opening up huge holes for whoever has the ball.

I think if all goes well, PBurg wins by 18-21.

I think this will be an interesting one if Powell wants a shot they will have to make plays in some fashion. The Blackcat offense can score in a play, that combined with their defense is gonna make this game interesting. I root for both of these teams so I won't say too much about either of them I just hope for a good game! With that being said I feel that objectively Pburg is the favorite in this one.

The key to this game is turnovers. If Powell can keep Prestonsburg's offense off the field and play a turnover free game, they have a chance, by simply limiting the Blackcats offensive possessions. If the Blackcats can turn Powell over and jump out to a quick start, Powell doesn't have the offense to play from behind and Prestonsburg wins. This is a game Prestonsburg can't allow Powell to hang around, because they have an offense that will wear you down, especially in a tight game going into the fourth quarter. Prestonsburg is 3-0, but I really don't know how good this team is due to the schedule they have played so far. I think Powell could be the best team they have played so far this year. Powell will not be a pushover, like some have predicted, and I believe this will be a tight game, regardless of who wins. I'm going with the Blackcats in this one.
