Were you there? Must have been on account of a full moon and lucky stars aligning if Knox or Rock kept it remotely close  Big Grin

Know someone that plays for Knox and another player confirmed also.It was very muddy also. Prob negated any speed advantage Boyle had.
#33
Hearing from a great source that boyle put it on Knox central and rockcastle at jabez. They said it wasn't even close.

There's only maybe 3 teams in 4a that could possibly play or maybe beat boyle and that's Johnson central, Franklin and maybe depends on coaching is Corbin.

North Laurel is pumped……Fansville is begging to play Corbin and hasn’t mentioned Boyle…..Hmmmm.  Woah

Will a Rebel stand up and verify this? lol
Everyone knows there is no way Knox put a whipping on Boyle. I haven’t heard anyone say that except a couple Corbin people on here making things up to deflect from the talk about their showing vs Taylor Co and Pj now hoping people forget they made up a fake score to say they beat Clay.  Big Grin Big Grin All jokes aside, I honestly haven’t heard anything specific about Boyle but I expect a championship caliber team and a great scrimmage between them and North. I will give Boyle the edge because they are Boyle but I think the Jaguars will be competitive in this game.

I don't know that Boyle didn't lose and don't know that you are acting like Clay won after Whitley run it up their hind end. I wasn't watching it to confirm. lol. I still think Whitley puniished some kitty cat hind end and got better in the process  Smile Either way I never heard anybody say they won a scrimmage and looking to move to 2-0 before.

Fair enough. I'd also never seen someone lose a scrimmage and post a photo shop graphic bragging about it. But there's a first time for everything I suppose. Even the NFL keeps a preseason record. I think Whitley had one positive run in regulation granted it was a nice one! Lets stay on topic this isn't a whitley thread. I know how ya'll and that other school try to make everything post about yuns!
The photographs alone showed more than one good run. A Whitley County picture is worth more than a thousand Manchester words.

You better go back and look who said that, I have never seen a Corbin fan have a user name of Colonelfan..........  Tongue All I am trying to do is get a confirmation of the mudbowl results..........Right now the only one standing up is Slim Shady  Smile
My bad, you are right on that one Bull, not many Corbin fans with Colonel in their name, haha

Most of these scrimmages are nothing more than glorified practices with coaches rotating kids in that normally won’t be in those situations come game time. I think we all agree with that and keeping score in scrimmages where teams take turns running 10 or so plays in a row with no regards to first downs is meaningless as far as scoring goes.
You should call Whitley County out if they didn't really practice better than the kitty cats. We know the Colonels would tear that hind end up in a real game though Smile

I just hope Boyle can keep it close.

My kid was at Jabez, and said Knox was a very big, strong team, but not very fast. Rockcastle not very good. Boyle was trying out a lot of different pieces. It was just camp, don't get to worked up over camp.

Doesn't really matter where you are at this point in the season. What matters is where you're standing in December!!

I'm just messing with you. I highly doubt Boyle was stumbling much, maybe due to the weather conditions more than anything.

I was at Boyle in July and watched the 7 on 7. Knox Central appeared to be big and slow. Boyle seemed to score any time they really wanted to against them and KC had a hard time moving the ball at all. These were supposed to be the skilled players from both teams. I know that 7 on 7 means very little in the overall outcome of the regular season, but it does show speed and skill. I think if the two teams met during the regular season that Boyle would put a running clock on KC and I am not sure that KC could even score. The situation at Jaybez was a quagmire of mud where no team could have a chance to do anything except to try and stay safe so for anyone to claim they kicked butt there is very sad indeed.

Hardwick or something? That kid is a player. Hope it’s not season ending.

Andrew Hardwick for Boyle has a stress fracture in his foot and wearing a boot mom says he will miss some games but should play again this season, losing a D-1 lineman makes a big difference especially on offense!

Just messaged a friend who’s at the game and he said Boyle’s O-line is really struggling with the loss of Hardwick and with two missed extra points sounds like Jackson Smith’s departure is going to hurt them also, I hadn’t given much thought to losing a D-1 kicker but that’s a big loss.

It’s early Jack! But I agree with you!

This is a controlled scrimmage, clock ran the whole first quarter without stopping. 2cd quarter I believe it stopped some on the passes.

Whistle blowed on each kickoff and punt to protect players.

About to start the 3rd.

Thanks for the updates Bull. That’s it for the Varsity isn’t it?

Good learning experience for Boyle. Hope they came away injury free tonight. NL helped show where work needs to be done.
