Predict Your Teams Record
#1
Post your team's schedule and predict their regular season record and final record after playoffs.
#2
2006 Ashland Tomcats
W 08/18 Friday Raceland HOME 7:30
L 08/25 Friday Belfry High School HOME 7:30
W 09/01 Friday Russell HOME 7:30
W 09/08 Friday Portsmouth West AWAY 7:30
W 09/15 Friday Prestonsburg AWAY 7:30
09/22 Friday Open
W 09/29 Friday *Greenup County HOME 7:30
W 10/06 Friday *Mason County AWAY 7:30
W 10/13 Friday *Lawrence County HOME 7:30
W 10/20 Friday *Johnson Central AWAY 7:30
W 10/27 Friday *Boyd County HOME 7:30

*Denotes district game

I predict Ashland finishes the regular season 9-1 with their 3rd consecutive undefeated season in district play. They could easily slip to 8-2 or 7-3 with losses to Russell and Johnson Central.

As for the playoffs, I predict Ashland will win their first round matchup while falling in the 2nd round to Bell County at Putnam Stadium. If they lose district, I still predict a 1st round win, while losing to Rockcastle @ Rockcastle in the 2nd round.

Final Record Prediction : 10-2 but could just as easily be 8-4

I agree with that except the pirates are gonna have a tougher time with Pikeville than in years previous.

This is a little odd, Tomcat68 picked Belfry to beat Ashland and Belfry Justice picked Ashland to beat Belfry it should be a great game.

Don't wanna jinx each other, lol!

For Lynn Camp

Leslie Co - toss up
Middlesboro - toss up
Perry Central - win
Whitley Co - toss up
Pineville - win
Harlan - toss up
Evarts - win
Cumberland - win
Somerset - toss up
Williamsburg win

Lynn Camp can go anywhere from 5 and 5 to 10 and 0, but I would be very surprised with a undefeated season. Early prediction is 7 and 3.

I think it just shows how much respect there are for both programs from both sides. This game used to be a rather strong rivalry back when Belfry was 3A. Ashland holds a strong lead in the all-time series 14-2, but in many recent years I would say Belfry has had the better team. The last meeting was 5 years ago (my sophmore season), at Putnam, and we were able to come away with a 42-21 victory over Jonah Caudill and the rest of the Pirates.

I had to think about that game a little more this year. I look for a very good game with Pikeville this year. The newness is one year of experience now. Pikeville will bring their A game. They are very hungry for a victory over the Pirates.

I hear that Breathitt will struggle again this year, but will get better in a year or two. I have not seen their schedule but I think they will come in 2nd in the district behind Middlesboro and be around 5-5. I looked for their schedule at khsaa.org and could not find it, can someone help me?

I believe that Valley will be better this year because of the New coach, just wait till the opening game.

Yeah I agree both teams do respect each other alot and it will be a fun game. I was on that team I was a Senior. That was the first game that we seen the great flashes of Doug Howard he had an impressive run for a TD at the end of the game. Arliss Beach was on that team also for Ashland and he was good very good. We tackled him once and was like UK who haha. But he was very fast and strong.

Tomcats are in for a good season if they can train hard but the L columns are either from teams who are just reloading and retrainning or just being outmatched. But no matter what go CATS!

JCHS (@ Cumberland Valley Bowl) - Tossup
Western (@ Mercer Ft Harrod Bowl) - Win
Leslie County - Win
@ Madison Southern - Win (possible loss)
@ South Laurel - Win
@ GRC - Loss
Montgomery County - Win
Lincoln County - Win (possible loss)
@ Madison Central - Loss
Whitley County - Win (possible loss)

Anywhere from 4-6 to 8-2. Probably 6-4 or 7-3 if they lose the JCHS game. They bring back more than they lost but a lot will ride on that first game. To beat JCHS in the first game would be a HUGE confidence builder for the Jags. If they don't win the first game or at least 1 of the first two, they could finish as low as 5-5. They lost a lot of close games (5 by 1 score or less) and hopefully can make that extra 1-2 plays each game to turn those into wins.

I will stick with 7-3 for Abbott's Jaguars in his 2nd year at the helm.

Campbellsville is rumored to have a good team this year in 1A and Taylor County is Average at best in 3A, so between the two teams here in Campbellsville, it should be an action filled fall. That is not even mentioning Campbellsville University.
