I saw a Paintsville bus heading south on 23 past Prestonsburg when I was returning from work around 5. I didn't know who was on it since the baseball team is done, so I'm just trying to figure out who it was.

Yes they did, at Shelby Valley and from what I'm told they won 4-2. SV will travel to Paintsville on Thursday.

Okay and why not?? That's just what I was told, and it is on the players' schedules.

Coach Saunders told the players in the locker room after the game they had the rest of the week off.

Well my understanding was that, Paintsville traveled to SV last night so that SV would travel to Paintsville on Thursday.

I don't find it too funny, I don't see why they couldn't play tonight. Especially since Paintsville's coach spent his Tuesday afternoon lining the field for tonight.

Yeah after a Tuesday 7 on 7 game, whew that'll wear you down. Doesn't sound to wise to me to be giving gives the rest of the week off when the dead period is just around the corner. Consider SV has a new coach, it seems to me he'd want to get as much work in as possible before the dead period. As soon as the dead periods over, it should be full force ahead.

Didn't know there was a limit on a number of passing league games you could play during the summer. I just think it's good for teams to get the work in before the dead period. The games with JC and Pikeville were over what, the last two weeks. I guess it would've killed them to play two in one week.

Guess so, but doesn't SV have a problem with keeping there word. Didn't they offer a buy-out of a contract with Grundy after they came to their house last season? Guess they don't like running up the miles on their big yellow limosines.

SV hasn't drove a bus to a passing league game this year, the players have drove or rode with the coaches.

Now that makes a little more sense on cancelling out, that makes it tough on the players. Still don't understand giving them the rest of the week off after Tuesday, especially with the dead period around the corner.

Wait a sec.... players can not drive to things like that. That's a HUGE liability for the school to undertake. If those players are representing their school and driving themselves to and from games (7on7 or otherwise) that's an issue. I do not want to "stir anything up", but perhaps this practice needs to be amended for the safety of everyone involved.
Sorry I couldn't make the trek to SV. I wondered about that Thursday game.

I believe the Tigers will host East Ridge on Tuesday according to Coach Burchett. Does anyone know of an exact game time?

So look for SV to get put on probation as soon as Bridgette Devries gets on BGR and reads this..........boy did you get the Wildcats in big trouble!!!!

In softball Greg Napier must turn in his Gilligan hat!!! In basketball, the parents are not allowed to blame the coach anymore. In baseball, better leave them alone, can't play as it is!!
