A lot of teams might be number 1 in RPI but if they play CovCath or Ballard they would be number 1 in RIP.

Love watching Pikeville basketball..they beat us(Cordia) by 14 at Pikeville…very talented and disciplined team..they will run through the 15th..only issue I have with them is if they aren’t hitting shots from outside they really don’t have true low post presence to go to!

I’d say Ballard is a lock for the #1 spot and I’d say anybody that’s seen them play would agree, but…..
Pikeville shouldn’t be an underdog against anyone else in the state at this point, including Cov Cath. That’s pretty high praise and it’s the truth.
In tournament style basketball guard play is key, and Pikeville has a plethora of kids that can handle the ball, plus make good decisions with the ball in their hands.
This could be the best team to come thru the 15th Region since Shelby Valley in 2010-11.

Pikeville needs to improve on FT shooting by a good bit to reach their full potential.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Williamsburg 11 spots higher than Ballard. It WAS something like 43 spots. That's weird. Something's amiss. Maybe whatever algorithm they use gets more accurate as the season ages.

Not even close to the 2010-11. Shelby Valley team. Only whining when it is not in agreement with your take. I will say it again. I will take the 15th field.

I could cheer for no one to lose but that would be stupid since we keep score in high school sports. I'm sure they'll be perfectly fine. In the consolation game.

Pikeville will be just fine. Sammons is still shaking off some rust. If BG is the #5 team (I don’t think they are close to that) then Pikeville must be #6. Let the season progress and we will probably see Pikeville drop a few more games but come late February I would not want to be any team in the 15th that has to go up against them.
