This game might just be the best game of the championship weekend. I've been saying 2021 is LCA's year all season and I'm sticking with them. But I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Beechwood come out on top.

I'll take Beechwood, but lets be honest. Would Beechwood be in this situation if Hergott would have gone to college instead of re-do season? I guess the question for all the programs that are still playing and have re-dos that are impact players?

If you're referring to simply being in the state title game, then based on what Beechwood returned plus 2A overall being down significantly, I'm going to say yes.

Given how close this game was last season, and what LCA has done against a killer schedule, I have to go with LCA in this one. Although, if any defense in 2A can slow down the LCA offensive machine it would be Beechwood. I'll take LCA 28-21, but it won't shock me at all if Beechwood pulls it off.

Over many years kids have failed a grade. Which can really help them. I’ve seen it. A kid at Highlands many years ago had failed the 5th grade. He just wasn’t very good his Junior year. If technically should have been his Senior year. That extra year was huge. He was all state the next year. I’m sure this has happen a bunch of times all through the country. So what if Hergott is 19. He still has to deliver

Getting a repeat of last year so far. Beechwood playing hard-nosed, disciplined ball, and LCA making huge mistakes. Difference is, this year's Beechwood is better than last year. If LCA doesn't clean it up soon this one could get ugly.
