Pikeville should have no problems. But they have to get some pass completions down the field consistently to complete their run at the state title
If you need any assistance or want to report a problem feel free to PM me and we will get it taken care of!  Thank you for choosing to be apart of the BGR community!

Would love to see the Burg sting the Pike villains but it won't happen this year.

Pain.

Williamsburg comes out and does enough to be competitive for maybe 1 or 2 drives, simply because I feel like Herron is one of the best in the state when it comes to offensive vs Def preperation. That being said, Pikeville has too many horses and their pass defense is among the best in the state. Pikeville by 21 if not more.

Pikeville with a running clock

Thinking is over Williamsburg in a shocker. Lol!!!

Pikeville’s biggest challenge will be not having a let down after avenging last years playoff loss to hazard. If they are focused and ride Birchfield like they should then onto Lexington. Pikeville has to much on both sides of ball for Williamsburg

Williamsburg hasn't tackled a Pikeville player within 10 yards of the LOS in 15 years.

W'burg may keep this one close during the first half, but eventually Pikeville's size and physicality is going to take over and they're going to start gashing and hitting on big plays.

Panthers win... 40-14.

Pikeville rushes for 450 yards on this game. Williamsburg don’t have 450 feet of total offense.

I'll give you credit, you made me laugh with that statement!  Big Grin

I don’t like this East/West stuff. If you’re gonna use the RPI system, use it overall. If two teams from EKY play in the finals, then so be it. The point in the RPI was to hopefully have the two best teams in the finals. The top 3-4 teams in Class A are in EKY. Only 2 remain and they’re gonna end up playing each other in the Semi’s

Even in 2019 when Pikeville played Paintsville for the title, the system just got lucky.  Those two teams were not ranked 1&2.  In 2020, Pikeville got upset and threw everything out of whack, but even then the 2 best teams didn't play in Lexington.  NCC was much better than KCD.

However, I have heard that the format is changing, I just do not know how.

I agree. And imo, take the champ and runner up from the REGULAR SEASON district title. Seed them w the RPI ranking and go play ball. It makes no sense to have east/west through 3 rounds then all of a sudden change it. If not for homefield theough atleast the first 2 rounds, winning the district in regular season means nothing. Hell, winning a single game all year means nothing. You still get in. None of this makes any sense.

Here is what should NEVER happen:

Pikeville’s last 4 on field games have been, in order, Phelps, Hazard, Phelps, & Hazard.

That is terrible for the sport and fans.

Panthers just cant turn the ball over and cannot let that WIlliamsburg QB scramble all game and just make stuff happen. Historically it dont look good for Williamsburg but i doubt this Panther squad overlooks any team these days.

This dude walks around with a stiff one for Pikeville 24/7. Bitter because he didn't have enough basketball goals in his neighborhood growing up. Angry

It's amazing how life can get so much better in a short time. Just seven years ago these teams were playing for a state championship while you had checked into a nervous hospital after melting down from your team's early exit from the playoffs. I wasn't sure if you'd ever recover after a long absence, but here you are being all cocky now. Life is an amazing thing  Sick

What's amazing is you don't know the difference between 5 titles and zero titles. And Williamsburg 0-8 vs. Pikeville. None of that is my fault. I hope you get off of tilt today dougie!

Master subject changer. I know you didn't forget sitting alone in a straight jacket after being sedated  while Williamsburg played Mayfield for two consecutive state championships. lol
