Last time these two teams met, you would have thought Lincoln County won the superbowl in the first half. I look for Corbin to play a little different in this one. This team when provoked comes to play, can't explain it but I know our team.

The score predictions so far are a little.....interesting.

It's the 2nd Round of the Playoffs. Lincoln is playing better now compared to 4 weeks ago. Expect a close football game again.

Corbin 31
Lincoln County 21

If Lincoln doesn't turn the football over like last meeting, watch out.

If a bullfrog had wings it wouldn't bump it's hind end. Corbin is gonna smoke some Patriot hind end.

They play to the level of their opponents, until, like you said, provoked. I’d say a lot of people are counting on Corbin looking past LC to the eagles, but I don’t see that happening. I do see LC coming in on a mission. But this time around, it’s do or die. I don’t see us coming in like all we have to do Is show up. Look for LC to throw in some wrinkles offensively like Wayne did. But if our D plays to it’s potential or even 75% of it, it will only get them so far. It’s hard to stop the Lincoln trio, but I’m wanting to see more efficiency on our defensive end this time around.

offensively- repetitions, repetitions, and you guessed it, repetitions. Play clean, get the reps in for the plays we’re gonna have to run to win a title, and tighten up on some of the little things. I can’t stand arrogance, but in all honesty I almost wish they’d play with a little of it. Team arrogance, not individuals. Put that chip on your shoulder and go out there and have some fun. And injury free!

People (not saying you) keep talking about the turnovers. It wasn’t like they just put the ball on the ground and told us to come and get it. One if not two of them were interceptions. And those interceptions came because we forced you to throw on those drives. 3rd and longs, 4thdowns etc. We also had had a T.O. in the form of an interception. Something weve only done twice this season i believe. So anyone can play the what if game. They couldn’t stop us all game. So without that interception we go into the half up 2 TDS. I’m not saying LC doesn’t have a chance, but even if they are playing better they’d almost have to score every drive given that we did before and a good possibility of it again. I don’t think they can do that. So they are going to have to rely on us turning it over a lot. 3+ I would say. It’s possible, but not characteristic of us all year. I completely respect Lincoln. I said before the last game that you guys are better than your record shows. And I still believe that. But defense and depth will most likely be the downfall Friday.

Lincoln obviously has some talent and I thought they would have one of their best seasons in years but things just haven't turned out that way. I actually think the first Lincoln v Corbin game was they best thing for Corbin. Lincoln wasn't intimidated and came out firing. Got Corbin's attention. Corbin pulled away but they were tested enough not to allow that to happen again. I think Corbin flexes this time around.

You’re right. Absolutely. I think there’s a team in just about every district that has just enough playmakers to give the top teams in that district a game of key things happen. LC happens to be ours. But every season a few act surprised when they play us good. They’ve got 2 in the top 30 rushers in 4A. One at #7. A top 10 passer. And the entire states leading receiver. They are gonna get some yards. And probably score some points. The past game we had with them, what made me made was mental errors. Blown coverage, or poor coverage. And arm tackling. We’re better than that. It was probably just a lack of focus, and like you said, it got our attention. 2nd was 100% one sided. I look for a complete game this time around from us. But LC got a little taste of blood and they’ll come hungry.

Silly question if it was a question. Some 5 loss teams play for state championships. Statement means  they will win by a much larger margin than some people think. comprende?

I think Corbin will win this game easily as long as they don't look past it! Pulling for the Hounds.

Wasn’t the 2001 Corbin team 5-5 in the regular season and made a run to the title game before Breathitt beat the brakes off of them?

I am interested in seeing how the Corbin defense deals with Davis and Amon this time around. Those two dudes did a lot of damage in the last meeting. Two good players. Davis is quite an athlete, some might say even a stud. Let's see if the Hounds' staff makes the necessary adjustments to limit the success of those two young men. If so, Corbin will win handily.

I'm a Davis, so tell Davis his cousin wants him to come play at Whitley County.
