Way to go Rams
#3
Congratulations to the Rams
#4
Information about game would be nice.
#5
I haven't watched Raceland a lot lately, but they seem to be tough in the trenches.
#6
Rams had 311 yds on the ground tonight. Body blow after body blow wore the tigers down. Only threw the ball 9 times

Nice.. Will that coaching staff stick to it? To me over there years it seems like there staff out smarts themselves.

Congrats to the Rams

This Raceland team is built different than those from the laat several years. The players are different, faster, much faster from sideline to sideline, than any previous Raceland team since atleast 2006. The boys mentality is different too. Theres an edge there thats been missing over the last few years. From a coaching standpoint, I feel we are doing a better job making second half adjustments, especially defensively, this year than in years past. Offensive side of the ball, rather than forcing our game plan down their throat, even if it works or not, I think the staff has done a phenomenal job at exploiting weaknesses and taking what the defense gives us. In all I feel that even though we are young in terms of experience, we are a much more mature football team across the board than any other team in the last 10 years.

I look for round two to be an all out war.  There wasn’t a huge gap between the two teams but Raceland just made a few more plays down the stretch when it counted.  It was tough for either team to get a rhythm with the all the penalties on both sides, injuries timeouts and the fan ejection. If Paintsville can correct a few minor mistakes I like their chances in a few weeks.
#11
Congratulations Rams. As for round 2 goes, Paintsville doesn’t have a chance. The Rams will blow them out.

Raceland completed dominated the LOS. I dont see round 2 being any closer. Paintsvilles only offense was the big play. One score was aided in massive part by dumb penalty mostakes on Racelands part. And FWIW, idk who is in control of the "F-Raceland" breakdown but this is the second year in a row that its happened. Not exactly the best example of a "classy" program couple that with Freddie James (not exposong anyone it was his personal FB account he streamed from) and I dont think BMR would be very happy with the way things are going down in Paintsville. I love a heated rivalry. I love the trash talk on here. But at the end of the day theres a differemce between that and disrespect.

Very evenly matched teams as usual. Had Paintsville put that last drive of the first half in the end zone it would have been a different game. Raceland helped us as much as they could with enough penalties to give us 4 plays inside the 15 but we just couldn’t capitalize on it. Hopefully the injuries we left the game with are not serious. I never heard any news about the Raceland lineman that left the game early. Hopefully that young man is ok. As for a fan supposedly getting “escorted out” I never saw that. There was a Raceland fan that had to be walked out for EMT’s to tend to but I spoke with her after and she seemed ok.

They are PJ. Not exactly Big but strong, quick and physical. Their QB is a strong kid that runs well and is tough to bring down. Tackling high will not work well on him.

Also great job to the young men on both sides. Helping opposing players up all. Good sportsmanship in an always hard fought District Matchup!

Tigers shot themselves in the foot right before the half. Raceland interior run looked pretty good last night and will work against anybody but Pikeville. Solid game Rams

I was able to watch some of this game and from what I saw Raceland is just the more physical team and was able to wear Paintsville down. Paintsville had several opportunities that they just didn't take advantage of early on that could have made a difference. Congrats Rams!

1. Agree about Raceland controlling the LOS, especially in the 2nd half.
2. You’re gonna have to fill us in on this “F-Raceland” breakdown, cause I have no idea what you’re talking about.
3. You don’t know Freddy. If ya did, you would know that he’s just trying to be funny 99% of the time. Is he a homer? Absolutely. Hell his son is the QB. Of course he’s gonna be bias. He joked around and cut up with Raceland fans on his feed all night long. If anyone took any of that personal, they need to lighten up and put their big boy britches on and get some thicker skin.
4. WTF does BMR have to do with anything?
5. You’ve really turned into a whiny ass the last couple years. It used to be fun to get on here and cut up with the Raceland guys, win or lose.

As for Raceland, they have a damn good football team. Oline fires off of the ball and holds their blocks. The QB is quick, has good balance, tough to bring down and has breakaway speed. The RB is just as good as the QB. Defensively, they are quick and they swarm to the ball. Hats off to Salmons, his staff and players. They made the right adjustments after halftime and shut us down in the 2nd half. Congrats and good luck. Hopefully both teams will be at 100% when we meet again in round 2.

Keep your heads up Tigers. Keep grinding. Everyone knew there would be some bumps in the road this year rebuilding. Learn from your mistakes and don’t lose focus.

This was the first time in a several years that Raceland was physically dominant to Paintsville. This years version of the Tigers just didn’t have the strength that they have had over the last 4-5 years. Paintsville came out swinging but in the end Raceland was just too physical. Paintsville and a still a top 5 team but their lack of depth and experience showed last night. As for Raceland, we have a scrappy team and will be a tough out in the playoffs.

Freddy is entertaining if you ask me. It wasn’t a fan ejection. It was one of the chain gang that got ejected. Both fan bases have their nutty buddies. The kids on both teams just want to play the game and play it hard. It’s the fans on both sides that are absolutely goofy if you ask me. I definitely don’t like the fact that this rivalry in the playoffs is a 2nd round game though. It should be for a regional title like it used to be.

Agree, especially about the 2nd round. IMO, 4 of the top 5 teams in Class A are in EKY, and 2 of them will be watching from home after round 2.

Nbd Redneck. The "F-Raceland" chant has been commonplace for atleast 3 years. Its a breakdown. Hear it every year.

Nbd man. And the BMR comment was refering to how things have gotten a little rough in terms of the stuff i was talking about. BMR wpuldnt have let that atuff go on and Chirico let a huge amount of it go and get out of hand.

it seems like they are playing physical football much like Paintsville has played in the last few years, and it's always nice to see great sportsmanship. it's fun to watch these well coached teams that have worked hard in the weight room.
