Rock is starting to come into their own right now and have a bigger ceiling left to reach. They still have been starting slow while playing lights out in the second half. Outside of the week 1 meltdown late in the 4th quarter Rock hasn’t allowed a second half TD in their last 3 games. Which in two of them they found their self trailing by at least two scores so having a great defense in those games in the second half was a must in order to win. This pass Friday night they came ready to play and never missed a beat granted the competition wasn’t stellar but to at least see that progress is a good thing for a group that is looking to win their district. Chasteen has had a great start to the 2021 senior season racking up 546 yards and 8 TDS. That’s 136 yards per game and 2 TDs. He has nice supporting cast as the offense as a whole has 1013 and 15 TDS. That’s 250 yards per game rushing.

Looking at Estill county it appears there defense has only allowed less than 300 rushing yards in their 4 games. Considering how Rock loves the smash mouth running game it appears this one will be won or lost in the trenches. If Rock wants to win this one they must control the line of scrimmage and make holes for Chasteen and the other backs. If they are able to do this then they should be able to win this one. I believe the coaches will have the boys ready and Rock will be fired up for this district matchup.

I've said it 2 years ago. 2021 estill would be a district contender. This will be a a good one that could go ethier easy. Rock has alot of stuff they need to clean up fast. But the potential is there

Estill county fans are quiet this week. I look for them to play Rock right before Rock pulls away maybe late 3rd or even 4th. If Estill county’s run defense is legitimate Rock may struggle but I just have a feeling Rock will have a good defensive game play ready only 3 days away from district matchup!
